lynzpower ... that made me laugh ..... i will consider that, although that action may enough to send hubby over the edge . Ive been using the 'blow up the balloon' technique recently but some how I still think that the 'blow up the bank' technique would give me more release from my pent up aggression ..... note to anyone involved in anti terrorist work, that was not a real threat, i have no knowledge about devices that would do that unless you count the last time i tried to cook an egg in the microwave! Nor do I have any desire to learn about them. I cant wire a plug and am very happy with my knowledge of technical devices! So dont arrest me!:D:EasterBun ...what more do I need to say?!

I used to think the same and wondered what perfect lives they must have to afford nice cars like that. Now I have come to realise you are looking at the DFW's of tomorrow, they just don't know it yet!"A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -

Hi klare I just had to come and read your post after you posted on mine saying that I brightened your day a little. Lots of people have given some great advice and I'm sure being an avid MSE'er you probably already make loads of savings etc, but I was just wondering if you make any additional income from Ebay or Amazon? My debt total has been reduced loads by the overpayments I make from money I generate selling on Ebay and Amazon and slowly slowly I have been chipping away at the debt. I can see that you work full time and with two toddlers there are not enough hours in the day as it is but if you could sell some additional stuff it may help some. I do finish work early from Tue-Fri so it allows me time to do the post office run to send stuff out, but you could even state in your listings that you post on Saturdays only if it makes if easier. I started off selling the clothes and shoes that the kids had outgrown and general nic naks and now sell quite a bit for my friends etc for commission. Stay positive and determined as you are. God never gives us more than we can handle (although sometimes it may feel that way)My mantra is "Never pay full price!"0

i just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted on my thread today...its been ahorrible day but you lot have made me smile again.
I know things will get better and most days I can cope with it, today just wasnt one of those.
I know that as the children get a bit older and before they grow into the ' i want nike trainers' stage we will have a chance to hit the debt, i just find it so frustrating not being a position now to do anything other than what we are.
it doesnt help me as hubby as a bit of a f##k 'em attitude whereas I want to crack on and get rid of it attiutde. Cant bring him round to realise that we should be throwing even pennies at the debt. I know it will make a difference. I guess because it made him so ill, he isnt going to let them get to him like that again and believe me I have tried every tactic in the book to change his opinion!!
anyway, tomorow is another day and you never know what it is going to bring.
anyway, thankyou once again.:EasterBun ...what more do I need to say?!

Sounds like you're on the way up again emotionally at least. This post really made me chuckle. :rotfl:
Travel seems to be a major factor in your life at the moment - both cost and time. Even if your house needs some repairs is it not worth considering selling to move closer to your places of work?I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

What about getting your employer to pay for an OU course?
You don't have to tell them that the course would form part of your degree profile and you could argue the benefits of a course to them .2014 Target;

to the last two posters, unfortunately me and hubby both work 30 miles away..... but in opposite directions so moving at this point in time wouldnt help us...thats not to say work opportunites wont come up in the future to resolve this. but for the time being we have both only been in our current posts for a few months so need to have at least a year under our belts to make it work well for us CV wise.
As for the degree / employer thing.... I have put in a bid for next years budgets to get some help but they dont kick in until april and the next intake for the course that I need to do with my job role is october, which then starts in the following MArch, so realistically its not going to be something that I can start until a year in march ... god thats a long time when i look at it like that!!
but I do see that things will get better, i just have to hang on in there.
all i can say is thank god for this site and Cadburys!!:EasterBun ...what more do I need to say?!
