  • Morning!

To start my day in a more positive way (although I won't be able to have social conversations any longer concerning current affairs. But hold on, the free Metro paper will keep me a little bit ahead!) No miserable news watched this morning and 6music playing to keep my day cheerful.

I have, at last, registered for my free daily clicks and started that this morning on Butlinsbingo so fingers crossed. 10p made today already.

So there's two positive things to start my Fab Friday!

I did plough through my to list (well a little bit anyway) last night.

    Wk 2 TO DO list

    - organise inaugural date for our small sewing circle

    - get rid of Dad's telly on freecycle - FINGER'S CROSSED SOMEONE'LL TAKE IT!!!!
    - research Jwil's advice on bingoport and surveys to earn amazon vouchers

So to crack on with my Friday and my 15 minute bursts of motivation - I must go.

I am definitely going to use £4 to visit the Viz exhibition at the Lit and Phil Library in Newcastle this dinnertime cos it's finishing tomorrow and considering I walk past it almost everyday there's no excuse.

Yep Onwards and Upwards - after all I am 10p better off than I was when I woke up!

See you later, diary and friends

  • Hi Diary

I am really enjoying this really warm, really sunny Friday in Newcastle (actually in work).

I have been along to the Viz exhibition and spent my whole weekend allowance on Viz goodies! I have bought a massive poster signed by the artists which will be framed and hung in our dining/music room! A cotton reusable bag with a picture of The Fat Slags and Roger Mellie the Man on the Telly all leaning against the beautiful Lit and Phil building in Newcastle and the latest edition of the Viz. Had a chat with the man there, discussing our connections with the magazine (mine not that good but maybe I will explain in the future) and then I placed a sealed bid for some old original signed artwork. Yikes!!! But I put a ridiculous low bid in so at least I can say i bid for it. When the gentleman explained that, during the Viz exhibition at the Tate in London, the bids were in excess of £150 I now have no hope of winning so not going to worry about that!

We are heading into South Shields tonight to take our friends for a thankyou curry! They very kindly gave us a lift to our pal's spectacular wedding in the beautiful Lake District two weekends ago and wouldn't accept any cash for the fuel so, to combine that, with our pal's birthday on Monday and general thanks for being good pals and neighbours, my husband suggested we treat them to a curry tonight. Well who am I to argue??!!!

I have to check my bank and credit cards today when I get home - won't be able to do it work today due to slipping out to catch the exhibition.

Oops, just realised I have had about two glasses of water today, getting a bit of a headache so going to top up my hydration levels methinks.

It is absolutely gorgeous outside just now and soon we will be hearing groups of hens and stags heading down to the Quayside in the sun. Lucky people!!!

Looking forward to a nice relaxing night tonight and we will be back home quite early. Tomorrow - going to catch up with my pottering and adding to my 'to do list' just as quick as I will be crossing them off!

Sunday is still a bit of a grey area. Due to having to leave to go to Birmingham tomorrow afternoon for a 9am start on Monday morning (I am still saying that through gritted teeth) I can't really make any arrangements for Sunday.

Is this positiveness really because I didn't watch any miserable news programmes this morning and listened to 6music as soon as I woke up? Is it because I started my daily free scratchcard and won 10p? Is it because its Friday? Is it because the sun is blazing? Is it because I feel a little more in control than I did yesterday?

    Long may it go on!

Will update a bit later ie my to do list etc

  • Good Morning Diary!

Have had a rubbish nights sleep and woke up not 100% but working on getting back there.

Just finished last weekend's papers! Ready for this weeks then! Just finished running the bath and going to relax in there to try rid myself of this bunged up head and general 'not-right-feeling'.

I promise to update this afterwards.

Going to listen to some nice music in the bath and read memorygirls diary.

I will feel sooooo much better after that!

  • Hi Diary

I am in the middle of a very nice weekend which will be ending approx 9 hours too early. Boooohhhh!!!

Unfortunately today's the day that I have to leave for Birmingham at about 3pm so I am going to use it to my advantage. Yayyyyy!!

I have a box full of ebay items to list whilst I am away.

I have all of the wedding photos to go through, upload onto facebook and copy to dvd for the bride and groom.

I have a copy of Rhonda Byrne's The Secret to start to read (well it appears to be the choice of read by a lot of people on Memory Girls thread so I thought I would give it a shot!)

I am going to take my gym kit and swimming stuff to get some exercise done.

I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE IN AND EAT RUBBISH. I am going to cut down on all the rubbish and bad carbs whilst away so when I arrive back home on Friday I shall feel tons better!

Not going to play too much on my negatives today but my 'make £5 a day' challenge is going rubbish! I haven't had the chance to start my daily clickthroughs (but I have all the info on my laptop ready to take away with me!)
. Although I have started my free scratchcard and made a massive 30p - it is better off in my pocket than in theirs!!! And I have made a football prog/dvd sale which i will package up this morning and ask the Bald One to post for me whilst I am away. Do you think its the start of a roll for me?!

My week away is just the start of a very busy September for me but yet again I am attempting to take a positive look at it. I am away for a RoSPA training course in Manual Handling Training and Assessing which will be a great thing to list on my cv but really this isn't what I saw myself doing when I accepted my job as H&S Advisor within the public sector. In fact a year ago I couldn't even stand in front of people and speak but I have overcome that fear and now can hold presentations and training sessions and now I have had to accept training as being a major part of my role. I WILL MAKE THIS WORK FOR MY ADVANTAGE!

One day I may even list of my qualifications and skills to make me re-evaluate my situation.

There is a advertisement on the Metro for a local further education college which says 'Life's too short to be stuck in wrong job' and I see it and agree with it every time and then think of all the things I can do (don't even think of the things that I can't do) and then I never remember to write this list. So there we go, there's another list to crack on with.

I am off now to research how to make canny roast potatoes. Not the best cook in the world (not very interested in cooking!!)

Will catch up later, keep positive y'all.

  • Hi Diary et al,

So Birmingham it is then, well more Walsall and travelling to near the M6 for my Manual Handling Trainer and Assessor course. I am trying to think of how to use this totally to my advantage but lack of experience and lack of inspiration for this kind of career is currently setting in. MUST. GET. MOTIVATED!

Room is lovely and I have already joined the gym (oh dear! its been about 2 years since I have actually entered a gym!) so ordered some food and by the time that arrives and it settles the gym will be empty and I will exercise in confidence.

I know this seems extravagant but this is the cheaper hotel, with free internet access and free parking. Compared to the expensive hotels who charge for both internet and parking which was recommended by the company who organises our travel and hotels! And they are supposed to save us money!

I aim to get all my balance transfers sorted this week so I haven't got payments going out on all different dates. I also aim to knock a few months off my debt free date according to my snowball. Now come on, that's not that hard ...... is it??!!

    This weeks list is:

15 minutes of each task for tonight (following memorygirl's diary still, I have read 36 pages of it so far and aim to complete that during the weekend. Then crack on with her 3 nappies and 71p diary)

I have had to post again dead quickly cos I am kind of excited about kind of sorting out my life, piece by piece!

Credit cards transferred and snowball updated and I have knocked three months from my debt free day. Now THAT'S a motivator. That's £990 saved! Blimey!

Okay, now to crack on with my ebay malarkey.

  • Almost time to hit the sack.

I have had quite a productive night, whilst listening to the torrential rain lashing against roof windows in this lovely hotel room.

Now just to work out how to do my daily clickthroughs. Might do half an hour reading before actually trying to get to sleep. Then tomorrow I can start hopefully.

So today I have crossed quite a few things off my Weekly To Do List, saved a wad of dosh and months from my snowballing debt free day so now my debt free date is during January 2013 and I WILL GET THAT DOWN even further! Also I have made £10.63 today. Yay!! My PAD is still going well for the second consecutive week. Thank goodness things are starting, it was a very slow start but I am sure that perseverence has proven to be the key.

    Here's me list

  • Hi Diary

Another day of training to add another string to my bow! Hahaha - a manual handling trainer and assessor was not anything I ever aspired to be at any point in my life (no offence meant to any manual handling trainers or assessors out there - this may be a radical turning point in my life but I can't actually see myself confidently standing in front of a room of people not wanting to be taught how to lift or move objects)

But I am working hard out of the classroom to ensure I pass the exam later this week and give a pretty confident presentation.

I have sold a couple more items on ebay and got my 10p scratchcard so I have passed my £5 earned for the day. Yay!

Ooh yes! I have been to a gym for the first time in about 2 years tonight. I ran for 10 minutes (phew! a massive achievement for me!) briskly walked up a hill for 10 minutes and cycled for 10 minutes, and you know, I am pretty pleased with myself!

Hopefully tomorrow night I will repeat this and then I might turn this into a habit (is it 6 consecutive times before a habit is formed?) Then tons of things will fall into place for me - fitter, healthier, more stamina, lose weight, feel happier, sleep better etc etc.

    So to my list:

    Wk 3 TO DO list

    - daily scratchcard M/T
    - check bank every day M/T
    - diary every day M/T
    - PAD every day ebay ac £1/bc £1

    - make £5 a day M/T/W

Oh I forgot to mention that last night I done something quite stupid due to being bored, away from home and not tired. I played online bingo. I don't even like bingo and that will be the first and last time I ever do it. BAD GIRL - NO WILLPOWER.

I also tried to follow Eagerlearner's instructions for daily clicks (that was sent to me a while ago) and I couldn't get my head around it all. I was so confused that I had to put it away and will try again later. I can't work out the spreadsheet. So if I can't work this out how am I going to get my head back around the matched betting? Blimey. Is there anything else I can do to make more money. My 10p daily scratchcard winnings are going to take forever to chip away at my debt!!

No - I must get back to the world of positiveness, as soon as I get this training out of the way and my ebay backlog out of the way I WILL READ MY NOTES FOR MATCH BETTING AND DAILY CLICKTHROUGHS.

I wish I could read more than one thing at a time: my reading list is growing:

    - Training notes for course
    - daily clickthrough notes
    - matched betting notes
    - the secret by rhonda byrne
    - memory girl's diary
    - £7000 in 7 months diary
    - the ultimate incentive to be debt free in 2010 (dinah's diary)

Right, I am off to do stuff to keep me motivated.

Half way through my training tomorrow, so when(if) I do pass I will compile a list (yep, another one) of all of my skills to see if an alternative/additional career may be possible.

OOh that was a positive paragraph!

    Good night all,

Tomorrow is another day, lots to learn and lots to do.

  • Morning Diary

Well tomorrow arrived quicker than ever.

At least I slept all the way through last night but still waking up absolutely worn out.

Ooh I forgot to mention that I had a NSD yesterday, going to try for the same today.

Won my usual 10p on my daily scratchcard, listening to the dulcet tones of Mr Shaun Keaveny on 6music, up and ready and going to head to breakfast any second.

I wish I could work out my body! I feel quite upbeat and positive but worn out and could fall back to sleep any second.

I am actually looking forward to my second day of exercise to join my second NSD and to ticking more items from list but, hopefully, not adding any further items to my reading list!

Cheerio, off to have an elaborate fruit platter for me breakfast. I would actually prefer to receive it as a fruit salad in a nice big friendly dish but this hotel kind of loves elaborating its menu so a fruit platter it is then.

Hope all diary do-ers are having a successful week and will enjoy their day today.

    Till later,

I am absolutely worn out and the night isn't even half way through yet!

I have stuff to prepare for my exam and presentation/practical tomorrow and not get nervous!

I will do my basics to complete todays tasks although my list won't be reducing in any way until tomorrow night.

I am actually going to have a dander around Birmingham city centre tomorrow night after my course, so if there's anyone out there who can recommend where to visit!!!

I am going ensure my car is filled with Morrison's unleaded on Friday (so I can claim my points!) so will look out for the nearest one to my hotel before I hit the road.
