Good grief! Where has the time gone? Yesterday flew by and I was in bed and cozy by 11.30pm hahahaha!! My favourite place!
I have so busy all day, since the moment I got out of my lush bed.
I have sorted the garden, the fridge, three lots of washing (which are just waitng to be ironed) etc etc. Will update my list and create a new one for this week.
Thinking of work is just turning my stomach. I really dislike it. I need to be inspired and excited by my work but instead I drag myself there every day and count my sleeps till Friday (or a day off!).
Tomorrow I MUST be positive. I MUST go in and get through my list of things to do and I MUST be proactive in sorting my diary (past September which is ridiculous at the moment for time out of the office and on the road)
But first I have decided that I will try the made £10 a day only I will try to do the £5 a day for September as I will be away a lot for work and probably not able to get access to my computer.
So I am going to head over there and sign up!
Here's my list:
[STRIKE]• Package eBay items for postage on sat morning
• list 5 more items[/STRIKE]
• make wedding card and envelope for friends
[STRIKE]• 3 loads of washing 1 load done, 2 to go but nowhere to dry!
• check bank account
• transfer my money to housekeeping account
• clear away at least one pile of clutter in my little workroom/office[/STRIKE]
• organise inaugural date for our small sewing circle
• cut mounting board to fit small picture frames for my workroom pictures
[STRIKE]• my payment a day for today and the weekend!
• email ebay buyer in US[/STRIKE]
• continue with my diary!
• 5 x yougov surveys
[STRIKE]• check junk mail box and complete any comps and surveys[/STRIKE]
• copy all wedding photos from last weekend onto DVD
[STRIKE]• weed front garden and start digging the 'bad soil' away[/STRIKE]
• clear all pots and compost from back garden
[STRIKE]• trip to the tip with garden rubbish
• go to post office with ebay parcels
• check for any further ebay sales
• put telly on freecycle[/STRIKE]
• put tiles and adhesive on ebay/loot
[STRIKE]• empty fridge and clean out completely, put all removable items in dishwasher[/STRIKE]
Actually I think I will start my new diary tomorrow obviously carrying over the outstanding items from this week.
Whilst I am here, diary, I am going to try and be a bit less sensitive. Got a lot on my plate at the moment and the disappointment of friends and colleagues letting me down, lying or going in a childish strop is getting the better of me. I am going to be a stronger person, I am not going to let people bring me down and think it's my fault cos it's not. Oh yes, things are going to change for my benefit and I am going to be in full control. Right? RIGHT!!!!
It's time to see less of people I think. I am going to keep myself to myself for a little while and concentrate on my diary, me debt-clearing, cracking the 'full nights sleep' situation, work and getting the next month out of the way. Then when I feel more comfortable with the big picture I will start to relax again.
Ooh what a whinge.
Now to get my yesterday stuff on ebay today! And iron ALL of my stuff for the rest of the week.
See you on day 5 diary.
Days 4 and 5 have been great but the spending has gone a bit mad but that was expected due to the continual celebrations for our very good pal's 40th Birthday.
Fingers crossed for a good nights sleep tonight. I am sooooo tired. If not, Nytol it is!

Hi, sounds like you have been busy.
I'm fortunate in that even though I work for myself, I love my jobit's made even better by having a fantastic colleague who is so on the same wavelength.
I have managed to find my MB spreadsheet, it was called Ultimatcher....it was one I got from on here, I have downloaded the updated version, so now I need to move my details across and start having a read and a few test runs.
For positive thinking, have you seen MemoryGirl's thread on here, it's really good.
I will keep on checking on your progress.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Hi Diary and anyone else looking in.
Day 5 of my diary!
Although since starting the diary I don't really feel like I have done anything else to clear my debt, it's all pyschological in the fact that I FEEL like I am doing something more positive with my life in general.
Listing all of my things 'to do' - which is being managed quite well but unfortunately the nice things that I want to do aren't getting done and the more mundane things are (that's life really though isn't it?!).
Even actually being motivated to get on here and add to my diary every day is an achievement!
I am currently at work and have a list of 'my' things to do and starting my list of 'work' things to do. Due to being alone in the office again today I will dedicate all morning to 'work' things and go out for a stroll at dinnertime to clear my head then come in this afternoon and mix 'my' things with any outstanding or urgent 'work' things. Although I am pretty much on top of everything at work.
Love days when I am in here on my own - I get the radio on my iphone, get my finances sorted, paperwork done. I am in control of my own time whilst manning the office to take phone calls, emails and queries.
I have a job interview on Thursday at 11.45am, luckily my boss is still on holiday so don't have to make any awkward excuses to have an extended lunch. I was quite annoyed last week, as I was explaining to my colleague about this interview, when she received a phone call from the same company inviting her to an interview straight after mine! Wouldn't bother me usually because we are both actively looking for work but the thing is, I showed her the job advertisement a couple of weeks ago and she said she wasn't going to go for it because she thought she was overqualified for the position, then she felt a bit sheepish when she took the telephone call for the interview when I was sitting next to her! I did ask her outright about it, she said she wasn't going to apply because the salary wasn't high enough for her. Oh dear. I did then point out that the advertisement didn't state a salary. CAUGHT OUT! 2 lies in the space of a few minutes. So there we have it - my trust in her is now completely gone. Even if she does get the job and I don't that'd be good because I don't really want to be closely working with someone I don't trust. I have opened up to her so much recently due to personal circumstances etc now I feel a bit of a fool. But a lesson learnt again.

Looking forward to tonight. The Bald One is cooking meatballs for tea tonight - he loves cooking and I love him loving cooking! We have a great system - he cooks till his heart's content and I am an expert at filling the dishwasher! Then he has agreed to have a dander down to the allotment that I help with. It's my friend's dads and he has given us a couple of patches to grow our spud and whatever else we want to try. Unfortunately work has scuppered my plans for 'the good life' and I hardly ever get the chance to go these days but do try.
Hope everyone's diary and moneymaking/debt busting is going well.Hi, sounds like you have been busy.

Hi Diary
I have just sat down and started to relax and its almost 9.25pm but I have had a very enjoyable night.
The Bald One's meatballs for tea, delicious as ever, a hug as soon as I walked in the door (I love my man!) then we had a stroll to the allotment and dug up three potato plants and have a carrier bag full of taties!!! Also 5 massive marrows which I don't know what to do with! The courgettes have been coming thick and fast for weeks and we have both been busy over the past few weeks and unable to dedicate any time to the veg so they have just taken off and are really huge, approx 18" big! So I will have to do a bit research to see what on earth can be done with them. The man from the garden next door gave us both a plum picked from his tree - gorgeous!
When we walked back home we bumped into some old friends of ours and chatted until it was dark!
Now I have just realised that the text I typed out this afternoon that was 6 items ready to list on ebay - I have only gone and left it at work! Grrrrr! I wanted them up and listed tonight but it is not to be.

Dear diary,
I didn't have time to get in touch with you last night. I just don't know where my time goes, I don't like it when I can't keep control of my time and my things that I want to.
Day 1 of Make £5 a day and I failed miserably
I haven't had the time to do all of the ebay stuff that I want to do or the daily clicks, which I haven't yet had time to go through.
PAD for a month
Yep, I am succeeding on this one. £1 here and £1 there. Keeping a record and happy with that.

I can't really get my head around organising anything at the moment due to work commitments and the travel that is involved. September is going to be a really bad month and I am holding a grudge already.
Next week, I travel on Sunday to Birmingham for a 5 day training course. I know I will personally benefit it but I am dreading it. I hate to be away from home (apart from my office visits to London once in a while!). I hate the fact that I have to travel there on Sunday so I am okay for a 9am start on Monday morning and then I don't know what time I finish on Friday so eta for home is unknown.
The following week I have a half a day in the office then travel to Coventry for two days then back in the office then Bolton for a day then I have a non-travelling week the following week (so far so good) then the week after I am down to Wakefield for two or three days.
Not a happy bunny.
On a more positive note: I am leaving soon to head to a job interview so fingers crossed.
Even though these are all quite minor issues I am really letting it get to me. I always look at the bigger picture and I do realise I am very lucky compared to others but I always strive to achieve more and find a better life.
So on the one hand - I am happy with some things but on the other hand I am very disappointed with others.
My £10 week limit
Oh yeah, my spending is okay. Monday - NSD, Tuesday - 99p (coffee), Wednesday - 48p (double decker!), Thursday - 99p (coffee) so far.
Phew what a moan. At least its Friday's eve and the sun is shining.
Hopefully my next posting will be later today and will be miles and miles more positive. I am currently reading Memorygirls diary and wish I had her motivation and determination and endless energy!!!
See you later. Fingers crossed!

Rubbish interview. Only had opportunity for one question. What I going on? That's the second interview in a row where I feel like usual interview protocol isn't being followed. Maybe I am just applying for the wrong kind of jobs! Now my frugal ways are right out of the window as I am waiting for a coffee and a slab of lemon drizzle cake in the cafe bar of The Baltic. Don't want to return to work. The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day!!! Next post will be positive positive positive!!!!DEBT FREE SINCE SEPTEMBER 2015 :beer::beer:0

Hi dirty, just had a nosey through your diary. I also work in the public sector and it is a nervous time! Shame the interview was a bit rubbish today, would you take the job if you got it?
You're doing really well so far. With the free scratchcards I use Butlins bingo which is ok, and I used to use Virgin until they changed their criteria, so I mean to find a second one, but haven't looked into it much yet. There is a thread on here somewhere about them.
I do bingoport and surveys to earn amazon vouchers so that I can still buy things (books!). It really helps keep me on track as I don't feel deprived.
Good luck with the debtbusting!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi Jwil
Thanks for your very welcoming advice. I came away from the interview feeling nothing. Weird feeling. I did my best but on reflection I don't think I would accept if it was offered to me.
I am home now and chilling. I have just got ready for bed and going to get a few more items on ebay.
Positive positive positive
I will have a look at your suggestions to try and make a couple of quid tonight eh?
I have started to take a leaf out of memorygirl's book. At work, due to extremely severe lack of motivation, I am setting a 15 minute timer to do a extremely boring task, then reading a page of her diary, then set the timer again to do another 15 mins etc etc. I have achieved so much more this afternoon doing that and will continue to do so tomorrow.
So I may get back onto here a little later with some news but as I am sitting on my bed watching Waterloo Road (I have just acquired an interest in this programme since yesterday!!) plodding on with ebay, I doubt anything newsworthy will happen. But staying particularly positive for a Thursday (which is officially known as 'Friday's Eve' by me) lets just say we still have a couple of hours left to make a difference.
Cheerio for now,
T

No news, no pennies made, so lets hope Friday is a massive success. I am not going to put the news on tomorrow morning but listen to music instead. I am going to plan out 15 minute segments of my day and have a great day. Watch this space!
I will update my to do list, PAD totals with a smile on my face and hope in my heart!
Night all!
