    1. Approach EVERYTHING you tackle today with a 'can do' attitude - OK :D
    2. Put 5p extra in the saving/debtbusting pot - off to check bank account in a mo and transfer something to overdraft
    3. Tell someone you love them - yes :)
    4. Declutter one drawer/cupboard - bin anything broken/unsellable and charity shop/ebay the rest - decluttered my handbag this morning, that was scary!
    5. Write your Xmas card list ( I know but there's only 120 days to go!) - errrr no :rotfl:

ps happy birthday to Bookie's DD - 30 is a great age to be! :D

  • You missed Mick and Titch Red.

DD2 is 28 on Monday - where did all the time go.

I may even have a look at making some Christmas cards later. What a week to choose as a week off.
Better get dressed I suppose! :o
  • Morning everyone,

Sal, glad the end is near.

Luc, we miss you more than the challenges.

Red, have a lovely long weekend. SOo jealous!

Kayleigh, have a safe drive home.

Lou, sending lots of hugs and positive thoughts your way.

Bookie, hello. Have you got your daughter anything nice for her birthday?

    Pooky, that's very grown up.

    Pepe, hello!

Hello to anyone else that I might have missed.

It's raining cats and dogs here! :rotfl:I've had to drag my winter wardrobe out, who would have thought I'd be wearing 40 denier tights and knee high boots in August, I promise I'm wearing clothes as well. :D

I feel like going RAH big time at one of my work colleagues, but I'm going to keep calm. I'm cranky as I'm sleepy. I'm finding it had adjusting to sharing the bed, after having it to myself for soo long.

I'm looking at doing some cross stitch presents for next Christmas, how organised am I? [insert confused smile]. My OH has suggested that I convert pics of our parents parents into cross stitch! doable, just got to buy the software now. As a surprise for him, I **may** convert a Vegas picture into a pattern and stitch.

The sun has come out, but for how long?

Has anyone seen the Robbie adn Gary Barlow video for their new song? It reminds me of Broke Back MOuntain.

Lots of love to you all,

    LMC x

very quiet at work today and I'm hiding in a classroom scanning certificates to upload for my teaching license application. There's very little for me to do and it makes the morning go so slowly. Hopefully should be able to move to new job a week on Monday, need to wait until stressy knickers morning boss is back next week so she can be pacified and stroked that i've dared to leave her and then confirm a change over of job date.

Lou - I'll keep everything crossed for you, best thing I can offer as advice is batten down the hatches now and be as ready as you can for anything that comes your way.

Christmas card list?? I only send about 6!!!! :rotfl:

120 days, that's no time at all is it. Argh, we need to get our Save the Dates for day guests out with Christmas cards - which means we have to finalise that list, make the STDs all before that!

    Pepe,
Does Sal need to do anything about sealing the pipes. I moved in to a house 9 years ago with a kitchen filling with water

Normally I wouldn't lay down a challenge as I didn't start the thread but as a one time only offer:

    1. Approach EVERYTHING you tackle today with a 'can do' attitude
I can do it all, including the evening pub crawl
    2. Put 5p extra in the saving/debtbusting pot Do I need to buy a pot today?
    3. Tell someone you love them What if I don't love anyone but I quite like someone, will that do?
    4. Declutter one drawer/cupboard - bin anything broken/unsellable and charity shop/ebay the rest I shall tidy the bedrooms and declutter the garage. Need to sign up for ebay - who did that the other day, was it Spud?
    5. Write your Xmas card list ( I know but there's only 120 days to go!)

LMC - I'm probably telling you something you already know here but just incase......My Mum brought some software to do the cross stitch pattern converting but found it used far to many colour combinations that it was far to costly (and time consuming) to actually buy all the silks to stitch with...I've read some bits in magazines about the differences in some of the software packages so check you're getting a good'un before you buy.

I've done half the ironing....bored of that now so will finish the rest later.

Mum and Dad brought 2kilos of rose hips with them yesterday, 4 kilos of apples stewed down for the freezer and 2 huge carrier bags full to the top with more apples, 1.5kilos of tomatoes, 6kilos of pasta, 3 large jars of pasta sauce, 3 large tins of tuna, 2 cones of wool and a partridge in a pear tree.

This afternoon I shall be cutting up and juicing apples for wine, getting all the earwigs out of the rosehips and maybe making some tomato chutney (if it stops raining and I can go get some ginger and vinegar). :T

Hi all. I love your challenges Luc so thought I'd join in if thats ok! :)Edited at 10.45pm!

    1. Approach EVERYTHING you tackle today with a 'can do' attitude. Think I do ok but can definitely do better on this one next time... practice I guess.
    2. Put 5p extra in the saving/debtbusting pot It'll have to be 20p - done!
    3. Tell someone you love them Have text my mum
    4. Declutter one drawer/cupboard Is a drawer at work ok? At lunchtime I emptied a drawer that was *full* of personal paperwork from the last 2 years. I spent a good hour shredding and sorting it!
    5. Write your Xmas card list Done!
