Well, what I thought was CD1 might not be, not quite sure what's happening but I'm sure "proper" AF will be along soon...
    Fingers crossed it won't:)
Well after a really strange cycle af seems to have come right on schedule :(
At least it means another month of weight loss

Funnily enough I think I may actually be about to ovulate (pretty sure I had a postive on an OPK last night) so just goes to show that you don't need periods to still be ovulating :)

    How exciting!
    Yay! Get BDing!

I'm now wondering if the postive on the OPK yesterday was a false positive as I've done another one today and its negative.

How does it work. Surely if it's picked up that you will be ovulating soon you'll get a couple of positives in a row if you're doing it everyday.

I know it's really stupid as we've only just started but I feel a bit down now as I'd got my hopes up thinking that I do ovulate and perhaps I don't.

    Oh well :(

Some get positives for few days, some get it for few hours. Don't worry:o Good idea to start temping though, to be sure you did indeed ov.
Sometimes one get LH surges, but don't ov, and LH surges again later for the real ov.

This was mine (+ on 17th 11:45pm, ov'd on 18th according to temps):

Oh ok so it could have been accurate and I could be ovulating today/tomorrow?

I'm waiting on my thermometer to arrive (ordered from Amazon yesterday). As soon as I get it I'll start charting my temperatures.
  • Hey ladies. Welcome to all the newbies.

    congratulations kira on your BFP.

Sorry to mrsvicx about the redundancy. Perhaps something good will come out of it.

CD29 for me today, and by my calculations AF should arrive next week. Got AF type cramps, sore lady lumps, feeling tired and grumpy and fed up. Had a few weepy days too but that seems to be easing.

Starting on soy isoflavones next month but I've also decided to try something different for a couple of months. I'm going to use what I've learned on this forum and attempt not to get pregnant in the hope that tempting fate this way will work :rotfl:

No, really. At work on Friday I got the happy news that my job will be involving a lot of heavy lifting for the next 2 months, and being perched on ladders and balancing on high places and I don't want to be doing that with morning sickness or worrying about imaginary beans. I don't want to go back to using contraception though.

Is it ok if I still stick around? We'll be trying again as normal from July. Unless of course I get my BFP this month. How soon can I test by the way? Do I have to wait the whole week until AF is due?

Plus, it's only fair that older posters get their BFPs. I absolutely refuse to get my BFP before QQ!! :D

Fingers crossed it won't come this year:)

You should wait 'till AF is due:naughty:
Do you know when you ov'd?

if I say yes will you throw your zimmer at me? :rotfl:

I'm not entirely sure when I ov'd but AF usually comes 17 days after the last day of ewcm so I'm using that as a guide.
