I've decided I'm a horrible person. I just got a picture message through from my brother - his newborn daughter. I just want to cry. To be clear, we're not trying at the moment as I'm getting married next month and I'm pushing (really hard) for a promotion. I know they had problems conceiving her, but I just wish it was me :o
That doesn't make you a horrible person. Even when I was pregnant I was insanely jealous of everyone who had their babies. I actually had to leave the pregnancy thread because I couldn't cope with all the people who were ahead of me having their babies and that was when I was four months pregnant and therefore thought I was only five months away from it myself.

Good luck to your hubby, and hope he doesn't forget the back massage:D

Hubby and I have only just started TTC. I've not had a period in 6 months (have doctors appointment in 3 weeks) but understand that I could still be ovulating.

Anything else I can try mysefl to see if I'm ovulating or is it really just the temeprature charting and ovulation kit?

Thank you in advance for any guidance offered :)
Sorry fannyana I don't think I replied to your original post. Welcome :)
I think as far as ovulation, I would be surprised (I'm afraid) if they said you were ovulating regularly. I think it's pretty unheard of (but could be wrong) for you to be ovulating regularly and not having a period regularly. I just had a 70day cycle and my GP said I wasn't ovulating, so 6 months is harsh, and a pretty good indicator. I would definitely say you need to see your doctor.

They reckon that you should have a period a minimum of 4 times a year, to keep the womb lining healthy, so I'd be very surprised if the doctor didn't take you seriously, and didn't offer you something like Provera (they usually wait 3months with no AF and no +ive HPT) to bring on AF. If they didn't take you seriously I would seriously suggest you kicking up a stink. I would also push for a gynae consult if I were you (in my area there was a hospital that could see me within 2wks - if you do get a referral I would tell them you want the full range of hospitals available on the Choose And Book system, cos you can see which hospital has an appointment sooner).

It sounds like it could potentially be PCOS - and to be diagnosed with that then you need to have at least 2 of the 3 indicators:
    a) irregular periods
    b) dodgy hormone levels (I had my hormone test on CD2-5, not CD21 I think QQ said, but the gynae/doc would pick the right one for your circumstances)
    c) scan results showing polycystic ovaries
I have A and C, and as a sidebar, the insulin resistance that can piggyback and make PCOS worse (which there is treatment for).

If it is PCOS try not to worry too much (I freaked out at first! :o), there is things that can be done, but it's worth saying that (on average) it may take longer to get preg than "normal" people.

If I'm wrong I'm sure someone - esp your doctor - will put you/me right :o

Didn't realise people read that list:D
Lol no worries QQ. I read it! :D I refer back to it too sometimes to see where ppl are with their cycles when they talk about their temps/SS :)
I wonder if I might've ov'd in the last couple of days, but tbh, I think only time will tell...
    After 115 days... CD1!!!!!
    WOOOOOOOOOOOOHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! :D :j :T
I had a peak at your chart yesterday and wondered if it was gonna happen today, but didn't want to bring it up in case it didn't! :o

 What on earth must implanon be doing to my body??? In that last year, I've probably had 'AF' three times. Twice in the last month!

I am petrified of having it taken out and getting my first *real* AF!

You're not horrible. My friend who isn't even TTC felt the same about her sibling's little arrival at first too! It's normal, and I'm with Colli, we're made for multi-tasking ;)

Bigzippy, i took your advice waited a day and did a clear blue digital...... and yay!!! Proper result! I can't believe it. :):) DH is quietly very chuffed and keeps sneaking a look at the digital read out of 1-2 weeks. I have been so worried that i wasnt ovulating properly with never getting definitive results from testing, that i just didnt think it would happen like this. For those trying to regulate cycles or deal with odd Luteal phases, i really really recommend getting the agnus castus (casterberry) supplements. It seemd to make all the difference to getting my cycle in order before i started, and its herbal, so no nasty side effects and chemicals- and not harmful if you fall pg whilst taking.

    Kxx
    Yay!! :D Congratulations Kira! :D
Thanks for the casterberry supplement tip. I have no idea how long my LP is, cos I've no idea when/if I'm ovulating! I'll get there :)
Have a happy healthy pregnancy :) I presume you know about the <12wks pregnancy thread? :)

I think that it's 4 times a year not on medication. I would like to assume that if you're not having AF because of medication you've been prescribed, they'd have taken that into account... Worth asking the doc though, cos when I was finding out about PCOS I found the guidelines (which are never hard and fast rules btw), and that they recommend 4 times a yr as ladies who don't ovulate (and grow the womb lining) regularly are more at risk of cancer in the womb (sorry ladies, I don't like dropping the C word)

GG I keep meaning to ask, what is it you hate about Metformin?
I've started it recently and found it made me dodgy the first few days so I weaned myself onto it (as I tend to now with my other long term drugs), and am only just now going on full dose. Might that help?

Hi ladies not been on for a while. Been bd-ing away though ;)

Here comes the dreaded symptom spotting :o

Feel different this month but it started 3-4dpo. Now 8dpo.
-boobs normally really sore-hardly noticeable this month
-been really tired all week but getting same Sleep as normal. Am fine and then it can just hit me like a ton of bricks!
-woke up 5dpo and 7dpo during the night feeling nauseous and couldn't get back to sleep.
-feeling more down than normal for pmt
    -been really congested at night

Getting -ve hpts and I think it's too early for symptoms but does anything seem familiar?

More confusion... Got a strange nipping feeling at belly button 10dpo and have had light spotting since. Now 13dpo and af due tomorrow.
    Still getting bfns :(

Period is never early and usually only spot the day before and this is been happening 3 days before.

It was mainly because I was so ill combined the fact that if I hadn't had the September miscarriage I would have been due in April rather than August so it felt like I was going to have to endure being ill for an interminable length of time beyond when it should have ended. I think most people enjoy pregnancy.

Clearing out my pockets - i love the fact that you had a little cry. As it shows that you are HUMAN. Being human means we emphasise with others and in crying it means that you recognise the enormity of the birth of your niece and the longing that soon it will be you. And so you should cry. That lovely little girl is currently being deprived of the cousin that she will have in the short/medium term provided by you!

Enough fluffiness - i need you all to take a step back so I can move my ego swelled head onto the screen. Thank you for the compliments.

Congratulations to the CD1 person (GG - I read back) and positive test!

Just got in after a lovely day in the sunshine. Time to clean before The Man gets home (I am not an oppressed wife it's just that he tidied yesterday and I got the flat looking like a squat in 2 mins flat this morning.... If it were the other way around it would be war. So I shall do unto others as I'd like to be done unto myself!)
