big Zippy, emmylou and must-try-harder I'm sending you hugs for scans and worries. And I have crossed my other fingers just for you.
No one respond to this please - but I do feel a bit of a fraud because I am happy to wait a while for this. And I recognise how hard it must be to really want something. Easy to say, but try not to be anxious. Fate keeps us on our toes and makes sure we get what we want but at the right time. So, remember it will happen at the perfect moment.
Don't feel a fraud, feeling relaxed and positive is a great start to TTC. I do wonder if the longer you're doing it, the more that feeling starts to dilute...but I guess we all need reminding at timesPMA people
I don't think I ov'd yesterday - have had no EWCM for days...so confused!

Hmmmm - Yes I do feel a little stupid. It definitely disappeared. Just as well I didn't claim that my lost post had the secret to world peace!Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Hi Ladies,
Hubby and I have only just started TTC. I've not had a period in 6 months (have doctors appointment in 3 weeks) but understand that I could still be ovulating.
So as I'm impatient and don't want to wait 3 weeks until I see the doctor (who might not even want to help as we've not been TTC for a year) I'm trying to establish myself whether I ovulate.
I've ordered a basal thermometer so when that arrives I'll start recording my temperatures and see whether that gives an indication as to whether I'm ovulating or not.
I also purchased an ovulation testing kit from Tesco last night. It's a pack of 7 sticks. It's the ones that detect a surge in the (is it) LH levels and therefore indicate that you'll be ovulating in the next 24-48 hours. As I don't have periods I ahven't been able to time when to start testing (as per the instructions). I plan to test over a two month period but how frequent do you recommend I test. Pharmacist recommended every 3 days but shoudl I do it every other day or every day to get an accurate overview?
Anything else I can try mysefl to see if I'm ovulating or is it really just the temeprature charting and ovulation kit?
Thank you in advance for any guidance offered0 -

I think not trying but not preventing is the best approach:cool:I don't think I ov'd yesterday - have had no EWCM for days...so confused!
Hope that temp spike stays there:cool:Not that I'm questioning your infinite wisdom, but how is it you came to 6DPO?
Didn't realise people read that list:DIve got my fingers crossed for you for twins - instant family!!!
But one child family would be fine too:)0 -

The way to do it for free is:
1. Check cm for ewcm (egg white-like cervical mucous). Hard if you are BDing all the time as it is difficult to see the difference between the remains of BD:o
2. Check cervical position.
3. Vagina area can get swollen near ov as blood goes to the area.
Other ways are:
4. OPKs. If your cycles are irregular, better get a cheap ones like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001G7STT0/ref=pd_luc_mri?ie=UTF8&m=A4DI4ZJ5WTRP7
You should test once a day, in the afternoon, after holding the pee by not drinking for 3hrs. I do it before I go to bed. When the lines starts to get darker, test 3 times a day incl FMU (first morning urine).
5. Take temps using BBT thermometer with 2 decimal points.
6. There's expensive digital OPK called Clearblue Fertility Monitor. It is better than OPKs in a way that it can measure estrogen as well as LH. Estrogen surges few days before LH.
I do 1, 3, 4, 5, 6:o0 -
