That's one thing I don't do, nope, not doing that:cool2:Please could someone give me a week-by-week account of where one's cervix should be?!
I know it's supposed to be high and soft and open during ov, and low and firm and open just before AF, but what about the rest of the time?
Mine is high and firm and closed at the moment, and I've no idea if that's good/bad/indifferent!
But here's some links:

Hi and welcome:wave:Is there a 1stopshop for pointers?
One ov's 10-16 days before AF. Do you know your cycle length? Is it regular?
OPK goes positive between 12-36hrs before ov, so better start testing early.
Some people never get +, but get close+.
You should do opks twice a day, once in the afternoon, and one in the evening, with concentrated urine (having not drank or been to the wc for about 3 hrs beforehand).
Good idea to get cheap OPKs like the ones from Amazon:

Other ways are taking BBT temps, checking cervical position, cervical mucous and swolleness of vagina:)

Good luck on this amazing journey:j0 -
My scan was fine today, thanks for asking:)
Great thing about my doctor is that he's always so optimistic:p
Either that, or my eggies are really growing nicely:cool:
Next scan is Thursday (clinic closed on Good Friday).
Hey QQ, glad it went well. Loving the PMA from the Doc. I read further down somewhere that you would get three little eggies? You could have triplets early next year! How exciting!! :rotfl:x0 -
I burst into tears tonight when DH said we could go watch a DVD in bed!
So, you're not on your own
Anyone watch Eastenders last night, crikey I sobbed! Us women eh! x0 -
I don't think I said, Isabella was born at home on Sunday afternoon. Everything went well and the timing was probably the best it possibly could have been.
Food wise, when pregnant, you are supposed to avoid raw/soft eggs, mouldy cheeses and raw shellfish. Also, you are supposed to limit intake of certain fish (tuna, shark, swordfish and marlin IIRC) due to mercury and limit caffeine intake - last I knew I think 200mg was the figure being used. I recommend doing your own research to decide what merits avoidance - IIRC you are more likely to die in a car crash while pregnant than you are to catch listeria or salmonella. I posted a few figures and links here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=39457048&postcount=9439I've been wondering if I should be avoiding certain food stuffs? My Dr said that when (fingers crossed) I actually fall PG I should avoid tea, coffee, ibuprofen, soft cheeses, raw egg foods. I'm sure there are more but those are the ones I can think of now.
I only tracked mine for three months and that was a few months ago but I think the easiest thing is to just start recording what you think it is like (relative height, firmness and open/shutedness) and then by comparing it with your other signs and rereading information about what it "should" be like you'll get a better idea. I found it very useful as a predictor or ovulation (better than CM) and wished I'd started tracking it sooner. Please could someone give me a week-by-week account of where one's cervix should be?!
