Trying for a Baby Part Six

Like Euronorris said, how about a baby friendly lubricant?
Preseed or Conceive Plus (from Boots), will not only lubricate you, but will help the swimmers swim to the eggy:cool:
Hmm, I just bought Durex stuff ... didn't even think that it might not be baby friendly
Can anyone advise if it's a "defintely not, take it back and go get the Boots stuff pronto" or if it's a "won't hurt but won't really help either".
Not usually a problem, only had it once before when really dehyrated and tired. Was really tired last night now that I think about it.Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
i sooo wanna test tomoro but been told to wait for DH to get home from business on sat before i do *hmph* xx
Could you do a sneaky one?Or maybe ot if it's likely to cause arguments.
Just wanted to welcome all the newbies
Don't be intimidated, I knew nothing about TTC when we started, and am only just getting to grips with opks/cm/temps etc.
I came off the pill in May 10 but we carried on using protection until August and the first time we bd'd unprotected I thought I would get pg straight away :rotfl:
I guess some people are lucky enough for that to happen but then I started reading up a bit and realised how low the odds are of getting pg each cycle. Also, there really aren't that many fertile days each cycle. I was clueless. Still can't work out how there are so many unwanted pgs in this country when its so hard to get pg even when you're trying!!!
Anyway its best to stay relaxed about it for the first few months, because as soon as you start thinking about all these things it can cause you to stress un-necessarily.
Good luck!!!

I think everyone expects just to drop on in the blink of an eye - I don't think people realise that sometimes your body just isn't playing game.Hi and welcoem emsbet:wave:
Would you like to be listed on the first page?
Would something like this be OK?
emsbet (age? not compulsory:p) TTC#1 since 04/11

I've never taken them, but it is supposed to be good for ttc:cool:
Thanks, I just want my AF!
I need some too!
Awww... hope you'll have another little one soon:happyhear
Yay!:j
Going away seems to work wonders for ttc:cool:
Royal jelly is good for general ttc, and a lot of people who do IVF seem to get pg after taking it. Nothing to lose by trying I'd say:D
Royal jelly is only fed to queen bees, and they are the ones that reproduce. I do realise I'm not a bee but hey ho!:j
As for grapefruit juice, it will make your cm more runny, so make it easier for the swimmers to swim. Also, it will make your womb alkaline and sperm friendly. You take a glass a day:)
Thanks QQ - I will also add the royal jelly and grapefruit to my shopping list - I am also willing to try anything

Afternoon girls.
I've got all nervous. I've called doctors to discuss fertility after FF said my LP average was 9 and my last one was 7.
Waiting for a triage call...
I'm all shaky!
Derby i don't really understand what you mean but you sound like you need a hug?? You're waiting for the Drs to call back but why is it a triage call - that sounds like an emergency?

Some say taking Vitamin B100 complex can help lengthen LP:)HI
Thanks for all that info QQ - may I ask where you buy Royal Jelly from? I'll try anything!!! lolCan i also ask which vitamins everyone takes. After reading various forums over the net, it seems there's quite a few that I should be taking.
Right now its only Folic Acid and Vit B complex for me.

Hi ladies... well.. im new here and dont know what to say!
I'm Lucy, i'm 24 and I have been trying to concieve since august 2009 (yup! 20 months!) for my 3rd child, i had a daughter in 2005 who sadly isnt with us as she was born an angel, she took no trying! I have a daughter who was born in may 2008 and is now approaching 3, she took about a year!
Since startint to try for a baby this time i have been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries, the doctors wont give me clomid and wont give me a reason why not! Been told to lose weight and referred to the fertility clinic (dont quite know what help theyre going to be!).
I dont have a cycle thanks to PCOS but i do have random AF every few months, ovulation sticks wont give accurate reading so theres no point in me using them.
Basically i just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope it happens!
Down in the dumps and just about ready to give up but got to keep going! So i will never have cycle updates for you but i will keep you entertained with my tales of obsessive pregnancy test talking! :rotfl:0 -
Lol. Sorry to confuse. I assume the triage system they have started is just another way to try and reduce appointments. The doctor calls to discuss your problem and see if it can be dealt with over the phone and then decides whether she needs to see you.
I'm fully expecting a keep trying and call us in 6 months.
I currently take Pregnacare as that had B vitamins in. Should I take more as well? I think I'll soon be rattling when I walk LOL!0 -
I've read about people taking vit c, primrose oil, flax seed oil..............I don't think i could manage nor afford so many each month!DFD February 2012

I've just spoken to the doctor and it's call us in September. He said It's three years before they do any tests at my age. He said my cycle is unusually short but because I'm getting surges on opk that we should just keep going.
Think I might just go have a little cry and then carry on.
Just keep swimming as they say...0 -

Oh no, thats rubbish, 3 years.....I couldn't wait that long, it must be hard to hear. So will it be 3 years in Sept then....anything else you can do in the meantime?:dance:0 -
It'll be three years in September since I came off the pill. During that time we've gone between letting nature do its thing and letting science work it out.
I don't know what else we could do. I could temp but we go.down the every other day route anyway so temping would really just be for info.
I could go on holiday-that might help ;-)0
