Just wanted to say hello to everyone!

I'm new to this thread and new to this baby making business ;) and feeling a little overwhelmed by how much knowledge everyone seems to have regarding their cycle etc :o

My husband and I got married just under three weeks ago and decide we wanted to start trying straight away. I came off the pill on our honeymoon but after taking it for about 11 years and I guess it will take some time for my cycle to settle back down. I had, what I assumed was a withdrawal bleed on the 31st but it lasted 6 days which is linger than normal I don't think it helped I was so eager to stop taking the pill that I stopped mid-pack :o.

I guess I need to just wait until my cycle settles down and just enjoy the practice ;)

Anyway enough of the babbling! Just wanted to say hi! :)

    xx

    Good Morning Ladies,

    How is everyone?

Euronorris - sounds just like my Mirena which I hated and had it taken out after 4 months on constant pain (which did reduce to discomfort but ) and TMI!!! brown gunk coming down. All very unpleasant and not condusive to BD'ing (albeit not dancing to make a baby if you get me) or generally feeling good about yourself.

Hope it settles down soon, most friends I know who have one got on with it fine but not me. I'll be going back to the pill when the time comes.

OH was feeling a little fruity last night, I got back from dancing and denied him the apple pie he wanted to drag him to bed but to no avail. I was like the sahara :( nothing was to be going on at all. OH not pleased - no BD'ing and no dessert. Ho hum, perhaps I'll leap on him tonight to try again.

I'm going to sit down and study this day numbering and also how the ovulation cycle thing works. OH is on late shift tomorrow so nice and quiet to study the laptop.

Hugs to all and good wishes for BFPs!!
    Icey xx

Euro, hope you feel better hun, sounds like you have a bit of an ordeal!

Ive been told today to try evening primrose oil to regulate cycles, anyone know if its ok or not? I might try royal jelly too, hell I try anything right now.

Bucket loads of luck for the IVF QQ, sounds like hard work, but so worth it in the end! :)

Welcome newbies, hope your stay is short and sweet.

Woowever said they will be patient, I have to disagree, Im so not feeling patient right now! I want OV and I want a baby.

Hugs everyone and can someone chuck some positive vibes around please? TA! x

    Hi emsbet!

Welcome to a lovely thread :) I've been lurking here for ages, but only summoned up the courage to officially join last night! Congrats on your wedding and the start of TTC.

Just wanted to say that not everyone has a lot of knowledge about everything - I only know that I have a 25 day cycle cause I kept a note in my diary last month. Before that I had no idea! Don't worry because you'll catch up really quickly and all the ladies are lovely and will answer any questions you have.

Icey77 - good luck for tonight!! Perhaps you could bribe him with a promise of apple pie afterwards?

When I was a younger I had a bang on 28 cycle without fail. Once I started taking the pill and messing about with it and then having th Mirena a few months ago and then back on the pill, switch to a different pill I am all over the shop.

I'm really hoping I will get the BFP before I find out if I get back to the 28 day cycle.

I always noted the days AF was here in my diary so that I could predict when the next time would be. Also for when the Dr asks and I look at him blankly and say "ummmm ... about ... I think ..." :o

From what I've read, how you react to the IUD varies from woman to woman. Here's hoping it all settles down.

You could try using a lube, like conceive plus? I understand that it is not only safe to use whilst TTC'ing, but actually helps a little ;)

Been looking at DD's old photos from when she was a baby - feeling even more broody and maternal lol

Am on CD 18 (28) (Ovulation was CD 15 i think!) not that it matters because we've been too flipping busy for anything!

Hope all is well - congrats to the BFP's! (so jealous!)
