DH and I want to start TTC early next year, and I'm after a bit of advice. I'm on Cerazette (mini-pill) and have been on the pill for 12 years (combined pill (microgynon) for 8 years, cerazette for last 4) I asked my GP today, and she said there should be no effect on fertility, so only to come off 1-2 months before we want to start TTC and wait for a normal cycle so it's easier to work out due date etc.

    Hi LittleMoog,

Just to let you know, i came off Cerazette mid-January, had a withdrawal bleed, and was pregnant within 4 weeks. I'm 32, btw. So it certainly didn't effect my fertility! But obviously everyone is different, and it won't hurt to come off the pill a few months in advance just in case. Just make sure you use other protection if you don't want to fall pregnant yet.

So the only reason to wait for a normal cycle to pass first is so it's easier to work out the due date? That doesn't sound like much of a reason to waste a chance at getting a bfp!

how many days should I carry on is it three, miss a day and then once more, or would it have been better to have been doing it before the positive opk, only dtd on friday and this morning. Despite good intentions :p
After +opk is fine, since one usually ov's 12-36hrs after the 1st positive. Keep BDing for the next 4 days:j
Anyway, I'm now CD3 which is rubbish. Af arrived just before my ridiculously long flight home and just wanted to curl up and go to sleep.

Also rubbish is the fact that when I was in bed yesterday afternoon recovering from my jetlag I was actually supposed to be at the hospital discussing my results with the consultant. Oops.

I didn't end up testing until about 11 weeks though so I have no idea whether I'd have got a BFP or not before then.
    I'd love something like that:cool:
Erm how do I do that?
On your chart, down below is 'Ovulation Detector'. Click on
'Tuning/Override', and on the 'ovulation cycle day' type 18, and click
    'Override':)

that sounds great!! i don't like small b&b's as i always feel like i am intruding! don't like making small talk with the owners either!!

much better to be in a nice hotel!

fingers crossed for the bd'ing - when did you ovulate?

It wasnt that small, I think its like a conference centre, hotel, shop , farm all in one. Just very odd.

Not sure id OV'd really. But Im CD24 so could be in with a chance, if cycles back to normal af due Sunday.

How you feeling? all good? x
