Gonna keep smiling though and enjoy the time with OH on our own as once the little one does eventually arrive I doubt we'll get much quiet time!! :rotfl:

I think this is a great thought.....I am sooo broody and can't wait for us to have a family but there are a few good things about not being pg yet:
1)I love spending time just the two of us so I will also enjoy this time we have before it turns into chaos!
2)We've been able to spend money making our new house look nice and I know once a babber comes along we won't be able to afford to do this and will want all our money to go on the baby.
3)I can afford to visit my brother in New York who has just had a little girl so I now I get to meet my new neice really soon!
4)I got a promotion at work in the summer and have been able to really throw myself into work and prove myself in the new role, increase my salary which will help us in the long term.
5)We've been able to save up to help us out when I eventually have to take maternity.

So always look on the brightside. I wouldn't be without OH and def will not let TTC ruin things with us. And I know I had my little rant about OHs 'It'll happen when it happens' attitude but actually I'm glad he's there to chill me out when I need it!

Can't believe how many of us are synced this month! Roll on all the BFPs!!

i have been thinking this since mc. theres lots of good things to think positively about not being pg.

    1) i have booked 3 holidays/short breaks over the next couple of months
    2) i can save up more money to have longer mat leave
    3) i was going to be due at the same time as close family member so next time i can get all the attention and not be compared!
    4) myself and dh know now it's what we really really really want!! it all happened a bit fast last time and was a bit

obviously i would rather not have had mc but you have to look on the brightside or you would go mad!

Thanks for the PMA Q, Im hoping that either nothing shows up and I do it myself over the next year, or something easy to fix shows up....
Can you please add me to the test list please? Its looking a little thin on the ground!! I think if you put me in for 5th Feb, I will see if I can get that far!!
Also I seem to have disappeared again from team sticky!! Im on day 14 and ov'ed yesterday.

Thanks jen, hope you get your appointment soon and lets hope our BFPs are synched as well (and not too far around the corner).

My friend who has been TTC for almost as long as me told me yesterday she is pregnant. Only very early stages but she wanted me to know as we've been discussing it a lot. I was surprised I wasn't even jealous - if they'd have only just started trying I would have been but she really deserves some good news. She was worried I'd be upset bless her but it's made me think more positively, and it's really reassuring that they've been trying for a year and a half and then suddenly it happens. That could be the case for all of us long-timers!

Gizmogiz and pebbles - I love that attitude and your lists. I/we have loads of things we want to do before we have kids. We really need to get that balance between saving for when we do have kids, and enjoying our child-free time. In fact I think I'm going to book a holiday - nothing is likely to bring me my BFP as much as a holiday I'd not be able to go on if I was pregnant!

it's a good attitude to have for myself but if anyone else tried to say those things to me in a 'cheer up' kind of way i would kill them! lol!

a few people said to me after my mc - at least you can drink at christmas - !!!!!!??

i said i will book a big holiday for summer and buy a two seater car - that will get a bfp!!!
  • These people must be alcoholics if the thought of being able to drink at christmas is supposed to cheer you up after a mc!

Hadn't considered the 2-seater car - it's another good idea.

I thought when my colleague told me she was pregnant that I'd get my BFP that month as well because work would really struggle if we were both off at the same time for 9/12 months. She has ages to go so we could still overlap. I love it - so many factors are adding up that would make it bloody awkward if my BFP came soon, surely that's means it'll happen now, right?
