Got all excited as no AF when I woke up, rushed to do a test - BFN :(

Same story here. CD26(22) and another BFN this morning with a chemist cheappie. :( Based on average cycles, I ovulated anywhere between 20th and 24th December. I was ill in bed until the 28th (I think) so if I ovulated any later, AF should be here by now. Still bit of hope that pains on 7th Jan were implantation (a bit far fetched, I know) and that HcG is not enough yet to be detected by the tests I've taken.

I'm hoping that too smash. I ov'd on 28th December, had no pains since then, no signs, nothing. I almost convince myself that the tests must be rubbish, but I know they're not. I've done so well this month, I've not been thinking about it every day, thinking what CD I'm on and how long until testing. I only caved once on Friday night. I keep rushing to the loo if I 'feel' anything to see if AF is here! I am normal - aren't I??

  • Hi Charlie,
Yeah, Im going to the docs Tuesday, hoping there's nothing wrong, but also for a little bit of help.

Those do sounds like very long cycles, it may well have something to do with coming off the pill though, I know what you mean about before the pill though, I used to think it was a blessing if my cycles were long as it meant I didn't have to put up with AF so much :rotfl:
Lets hope we both settle down soon and get those BFP's! Good luck if you're going to test tomorrow hun.

I hope the doctors goes well Tuesday :)

Your post made me laugh, it's exactly what I used to think years ago when i didn't get periods every month:rotfl:...little did I know it might be a sign of problems in the future when I wanted children!

Well I got a BFN this morning as expected, so now CD62....I just want AF to start....arrggghhhh!!!

Can everyone give me an idea of how long thier longest cycles were after coming off the pill?

Two questions, would you recommend buying the fertility monitor thingy (think its about £60) and what is the book that some of you have previously mentioned ??
I'd recommend buying CBFM:) Some people found it stressful, but I find not knowing more stressful:p
You can sell it on ebay after you've finished with it.

How do you ladies "switch off" & not think about getting pregnant....or is that something people just say? I've not been trying long - 4 months - but i must think about it every day. Even my OH.
I just keep busy. But it's impossible to switch off completely:o
QQ - it just takes once to to get that bean so hope its your month!
We BD'd before I got ewcm:( But still can't help hoping:p
I was thinking about going to the doctors after this next cycle if it's as long as I really don't think it's normal . Before I started the pill i used to go a couple of months with no AF but I never really realised it was a problem!

I'm going to test in the morning again just in case.
Your hormones are taking a while to settle down.
    Good luck tomorrow:)

    Can I ask another question??
What colour is EWCM supposed to be? Is it supposed to be transparent like real egg white?

My mum was here on holiday about 2 months ago(she lives overseas) She hinted at grandkids and I told her we ttc..........BIG MISTAKE!!!!
Have to get pg asap then:D
Anyhoooo I'm off to Docs on Monday night. When I went a couple of months back she said if we had had no luck by January to come back to see her and she would refer us for further testing. I'm not overly concerned as I had all the testing 9 or 10 years ago. I just want to put my mind at ease that nothing has changed in that time.
    Good luck with the tests:)

It's not over 'till the witch shows:o

If you implanted on 7th, then give it a couple of days for the HSG to build up:)

Totally normal Pinkpig - I've been doing the same since yesterday morning!! I'm sure DH thinks I've got something wrong with me..... :)

CD29(28), though I'm sure AF is just teasing me this month! BFN on Friday, trying to wait until tomorrow to test again. Daren't get my hopes up too much!

On the subject of pressure/comments from other people our families never ever mention it, so I guess we're lucky. My SIL knows we've been trying but she is very tactful, though she is one of those lucky people who falls pregnant at the drop of a hat! I suffer more from comments from friends/acquaintances who assume that as we got married last year I should be pregnant by now.
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon ....

Thanks. I guess as long as it's normal for it to be this long i'll wait it out and see what happens next cycle :o

EDIT: I wanted to say as well, because i was so sure AF was coming a couple of days before Christmas and had the syptoms up until boxing day and haven't had any since, does anyone know what that's about?
