  • We got a BFP last night on a cheapie, OH wanted to double check this morning (as did i) with a CB (just the + or - ones) and we have our second BFP so now its confirmed!!!

:jFANTASTIC NEWS!!!! Congratulations!! Can't believe so many BFP at the start of the month! Here's hoping this good luck rubs off on the rest of us!! Enjoy this feeling Puzzled!! :j
    Thanks Welshpolarbear.
Are your cycles normally that long?
    x

I've just re-checked and my last one was actually CD52 (sorry for the couple of days out) I have never had one that long before but each one seems to be getting longer  I have been keeping track since May and have had the following cycles:

    36, 37, 28, 40, 43, 52.

I came off the pill a year ago this month so was hoping things would have settled into a routine by now. How are your cycles? Are they always as long as this time? x

hey welshpolarbear looks like we've been TTC the same time! August 2010. :) i've not got much experience with going to Dr's about TTC, but have heard its best to stretch the truth a wee bit about how long you've been TTC - if you tell them over a year, as they will offer more treatment should you need it. if you say any time under a year its considered totally normal to take up to a year so you won't get as much help.
    x

Thanks Jen, that's really helpful advice. It's not stretching the truth tooooo much as I came of the pill a year ago and we we'ren't all that careful from May really, and if I also factor in that I have Crohns Disease, which adds another huge element to things im thinking they may help.....Will definitely be taking your advice, will let you know hwo it goes!! Hope you can join the BFP's too, and have fun tonight :D x

Smash - Here's sending you a HUGE helping of good luck and positive thoughts for tonight/tomorrow morning - looking forward to hearing good news from you and that you'll be joing the other lucky ladies with BFP's!!!

About a day or 2 after we DTD, I had verrrrry stretchy, jelly-like CM. This was a few days ago, fairly dry again now. Do you think that could have been ovulation? I have no idea? I thought I ovulated the previous week!
Sounds like ov, but can never be sure, so keep BDing just in case:o

What sensitive pg test should I buy? I used the CB plus again this morning and I know it's not the most sensitive. Maybe try a more sensitive one tomorrow morning?!? I am mindful not to waste loads of money! Or are there any cheapy sensitive ones?
The Superdrug ones are sensitive 10iu:)

Hi All, new user here wondering if I can join please (I am actually a regular user on MSE) but am using an AE as we haven't told anyway we are trying!)

Time is against us as I am 43 and this would be our first. We only decided to start trying at Christmas time and tbh are just really seeing how thing goes. My cycle is a bit hit and miss (has been about 25 days) and according to my iphone app (lol) I am one day late. I really don't know whether to try a test as I can't see we will have got lucky first time.?? Anyway, good luck to everybody and hope to see lots of positive news x
    Welcome Mrs Dave:wave:
    One day late? Exciting!:j
Some people get pg first time every time, so you may be one of those lucky people! Fingers crossed:)

Would you like to be added on the first page? Would something like this be OK?

Was looking at the list the other day which im still not on 'cause we still not officially ttc because that would be far too scary apparently but leaving to fate - piac daily for ov- and trying to time visits to match up with predicting ov isnt scary at all so we still calling it leaving it to fate *can you tell im starting to get frustrated over it lol*
But anyhoo back to looking at the list - I think you and a few others definately deserve your bfps this year :)

had a little break from here and while I love that so many have got bfps Im secretly daunted by the lack of people I dont know but who know each other :O
I was only gone for a month or so *slightly selfishly got my head in a bad place when realised this cycle was a no go completely :(
Annnnyyyyhoooooo maybe this month who knows not like we've picked names, bedroom decor, godparents etc because obviously we wouldnt do that if we were just leaving it to fate  im laughing on here about it but inside im crying
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

Hey Phunkles, please don't be daunted, there's so many new people (me included) on here from the last week or so that everyone's in the same boat (not meaning to speak for all) I know I feel daunted that lots of people have been on here for a while but it seems to be a very welcoming and friendly place....please stay :)

Sorry to hear you were in a bad place, hope you're feeling a bit better now, im hoping this thread will give us all a bit of a support in what seem like such trying, yet exciting times.

I daren't talk to anyone other than OH about this stuff as don't want people to know we're TTC, so it's good to be part of something where lots are in the same boat x

My mum was here on holiday about 2 months ago(she lives overseas) She hinted at grandkids and I told her we ttc..........BIG MISTAKE!!!! She's started telling other people, got an email from my cousin saying exciting it is that we trying. Really annoyed, DH said not to tell her because this would happen, but I thought she'd keep it to herself :-( I understand she's excited at the thought of first grandchild, but I just don't like the idea of everyone knowing and am waiting to get the emails that say "so.....whats new?" from random family members.:(
