Last week, I came to work on all 3 days it snowed and was at my desk within 10 mins of my start time despite having to park elsewhere, dig my car out of the snow, drive slowly on the barely gritted roads etc.
Out of the 15 people who work in my office, 5 made it in. I have today found out that, as long as those that didn't make it in have logged onto their e-mails at least 3 times those days, they don't have to take holiday or unpaid leave.
How is that fair? Admittedly, the boss here sent all those who made it in home at 3:30 both days, but seeing as I start an 1.5 hours before most, that only constituted half an hour off for me. How is this fair? I don't want to kick up a stink about it as the boss is very laidback and hates whingers, and it's the boss just below him who has allowed the others to have the day off (not sure if big-boss is aware of it).
Bah. So unfair - not going to bother next time.:mad:Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I figure if the "average" person ovulates on CD14 then lots of people must ovulate later to average out those who ovulate earlier.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Interesting thread, My partner and I have been trying for almsot 6 months now. She Has P.O.S. She is now more regular on her monthly cycles however the tests month are month are still showing negative.
I guess time will tell.
She not always had P.O.S as we conceived our first child very quickly only 4 years ago.0 -
Thanks for everyone's replies,it's lovely feeling so welcomed
I feel a bit more reassured now that I could have OV'd CD16 as we BD alot round then!
When do you think I could test this month? Do you think I will have to wait 50+ days going from my last cycle? My partner is being much more impatient than me and wants me to test now (don't think he really gets having to wait past you missed period etc!) but i'm only on CD28.
It would be the best christmas present to get a BFP this month (if a little optomistic!)
QQ- Yes, please add me to the first page0 -
Oh my lurking lasted less than a day
Deb - how annoying about your workhardly an incentive for you to bother next time it snows
so dont (although knowing my luck theyd then take holidays or unpaid leave off me)
OH couldnt get to work last week and its annoyed me - he normally works doubles but he had a 6pm start and he couldnt get in no buses no trains - all sky news was saying was no ones getting further south than Croydon (helpful!!!) so he rang in spoke to his restaurent manager who told him to not bother attempting it that work was dead and they were going to shut at 8.30ish anyway (so hed of been working for 2.5 hours) but cause he didnt go in because he couldnt!! hes lost a full days payso this week he wont be off at all
Keeps snowing here little bits in little flurries
JCR - I wouldnt worry about what people think its your family and thats all that matters - how dare people make comments on your family being complete thats none of their business...
(Oh and I are hoping for 3 or 4 - hes an only biological child but his parents adopted and where foster carers for pretty much all his life.... they have commented on us having pitter patter of tiny feet but always counter it with after your married of course ooops:rotfl:) I think were going to steal his friends approach when asked about children he replies were having a rugby team full - league or union depends on how tired we are :rotfl:
The proposal story developed a bit more over fake christmas ... those who remember me sending the marry me ecard the other week... was sat writing his christmas cards at the table and he came in and was all loving and kissing (me was all gerroff me im writing lol) and then we had a Big Daddy moment - you know where the blokes about to propose to the hooters girl and Adam Sandler shouts your not going to propose are you!? well he was on one knee next me and i said the adam sandler line and then he went all red:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: something tells me a proposal isnt likely anytime soon after that one
Was an honest forgetting of his mum and dads present honest ahem
and well tcb just paid out enough to fund me a couple of days trip .... now to try and figure out af and ov and fit it around themLove is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
Charlie, the time from ovulation to period starting (luteal phase) is normally about 12-16 days. So if you think ov was 16 then maybe you could test at 32days?0

Brilliant, thank you!
I know it might not be very acurate as I dont now exactly how long my cycles will be, but I have stocked up on plenty of tests so it's great to have a starting point. I will test then and if AF hasn't turned up a week later say I can test again
Friday 10th Dec it is, eek!:(0 -

Afternoon Ladies
Been very chatty on here today, have read back but a bit forgetful this afternoon (loooong day at work), hope everyone is well, (((hugs))) to anyone who needs them (jcr16 in particulary- sorry about your inlaws), and a warm welcome to charlie.
CD22 here 6DPO (ish), light spotting this morning, imagine that will continue until AF or implantation (here's hoping). I've had this post OV spotting for the last couple of months, any experiences? It was unusual for me before August time, there's not a lot of info on the web, think it may be PCOS oritentated, but wondering if anyone else knew anything.Debt free 11/05/11!
