Trying for a Baby Part Six
Comments

thanks delin and twilight.
delain i think tbh maybe my inlaws don't mean , hopefully just speaking without thinking.
when i was preg with my last baby , oh my the comments i got, from neighbours ( saying, tryign for a football team are we etc) and so called friends. that it really got me down. but i tried to not let it get to me.
however i didn't plan on feeling like this when not even preg.
but hubby and i will have another child and we will welcome it into our family.and he/she will be just as loved as we love our other children. but i just won't tell anyone, lol.
apart from getting a bump there is no reason i suppose why anyone does need to know really.0 -
Jcr - people will always have an opinion. It's possible they are genuinely worried about how you'd cope with 4. But you obviously know your family unit better than they do. I don't have any children yet, so I'm kind of leaving it a bit late but my parents know I want 4. I get the: that's too many, it's impractical, you'll have no time/money for yourselves blah blah blah. But it's what we want. Saying that I might have one and decide that that is most definitely enough! So for the moment I'll just not bother arguing. There are lots of people who have way more than 4 children, many of whom are in no position to be able to afford to in terms of time or money so I don't see why people think having 4 is that big an issue anyway.
Today was the first peak on my CBFM so it seems that maybe I will ovulate this month after all. But unless my cycle is longer this month I'll have a 9 day LP which is not very helpful at all. Fingers crossed that me being ill has meant that this cycle will be longer.0 -
Hi Ladies,
I hope you don't mind me joining you?
I have been reading this thread for a few months and I think the support is wonderful and love checking every day for BFP's :T
Well, I came off the pill at the end of September and have had one AF since then and a mammoth 50+ day cycle! I'm a bit of a worrier and am already worried im going to have problems TTC. I'm underweight (not through any eating disorder, just genes!) and I have been on the pill for 8 years. Before I went on the pill at 16 my periods were very irregular and I would often go 3 months without one.
Also, reading signs to check if i'm ovulating im not sure I get any of them. On CD16 this month I did notice a slight twinge in my left side and when i checked I think I had EWCM-do you think this would be too late at CD16?
I also don't know when i'm able to test this month I don't know if i'm going to also have 50+ long cycles or they are going to get a bit more normal.
Sorry for the long post I just want a bit of guidance and reasurrance!

jcr16 - sorry you're having a rough time. i kind of know how you feel even though i'm only trying for my first. i know when i do get preg my two sisters in law on my husbands side will have issues with it. we don't have lots of money you see, so in their eyes shouldn't have children. but sod them! i know my mother in law will tell them to eff off anyway :rotfl:she knows we're ttc and is really happy for us

could this be a good sign? i've been ravenously hungry, was doing my lunch and all of a sudden (tmi) really needed to be sick  i didn't actually get that far but i did hug the toilet
i'm eating now and it's going down ok, but .......
it could be a bug as i was around all my nephews at weekend and one of them was ill, but this doesn't feel like virus nausea:cool:
time will tell.0 -
unrelated TTC rant:
Last week, I came to work on all 3 days it snowed and was at my desk within 10 mins of my start time despite having to park elsewhere, dig my car out of the snow, drive slowly on the barely gritted roads etc.
Out of the 15 people who work in my office, 5 made it in. I have today found out that, as long as those that didn't make it in have logged onto their e-mails at least 3 times those days, they don't have to take holiday or unpaid leave.
How is that fair? Admittedly, the boss here sent all those who made it in home at 3:30 both days, but seeing as I start an 1.5 hours before most, that only constituted half an hour off for me. How is this fair? I don't want to kick up a stink about it as the boss is very laidback and hates whingers, and it's the boss just below him who has allowed the others to have the day off (not sure if big-boss is aware of it).
Bah. So unfair - not going to bother next time.:mad:Fear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -

Any child will be lucky to have you as their parents:)i mean, we are a young married couple. been married 9 yrs, have a very stable and loving relationship, have 3 fab children, hubby has a great job, i'm a sahm, we have a nice home. you'd think that would be a good combo to bring a child into world.
Welcome to the Team Sticky!:jcalamityclare wrote: »i also bought some conceive plus at the weekend and we tried it out last night

CD16 is perfect:)when i checked I think I had EWCM-do you think this would be too late at CD16?
If your cycles are irregular, it may be worth charting BBT temperatures.
Sounds good, fingers crossed:)little_angel wrote: »could this be a good sign? i've been ravenously hungry, was doing my lunch and all of a sudden (tmi) really needed to be sick  i didn't actually get that far but i did hug the toilet

Hi Charlie. Welcome to the fun. Cd16 isn't late. I started measuring bbt last month because I wanted to find if/when I ovulate. Last month it was cd20 and my cycle was 33 days. I found it helps to know what's happening. In the past I've had really irregular cycles (17-45days) so I was really anxious when came off the pill in august. All you need is a thermometer for a few pounds. I am learning so much more from it (eg I'm getting the side twinges now but don't expect to ov for a few more days). Everybody us different. I know its not much reassurance but worrying prob doesn't help.0

oh deb , how frustrating. it the same where hubby works.
hubby managed to get in, even tho took about half hour to dig van out. he crawelled the 8 miles to work. and other's ( who could of walked if really wanted under 1 mile distance) didn't get in but still got fully paid for the 2 days off. hubby said next time he woulnd't bother. but he will bother, because to not give 100 % isn't him.0
