Thanks Emsbet - how did you do that?

To be honest I've not slept very well since Wednesday so that could have something to do with it however it's just the past few temps that have increased. Maybe it's just where I'm due AF???

EDIT: As for ov - I doubt it lol

I just right clicked on your chart and copy and pasted it :o
    fannyanna wrote: »
I think that's pretty unlikely :rotfl:

I guess it's just the unsettled sleep. I just wondered if that was a sign that AF is due. It's CD33 today so hopefully it will hurry up as I'm getting impatient now :)

Generally if AF is on her way you temp would go down rather than up.

There's always a possibility you could ov even with the PCOS right?

I think if you've had restless nights this could be affecting it. Give it a few days and see how it pans out. I know it's a pain having to wait but after only two high temps it's difficult to say whether its a blip or something else.

There is indeed but even if I did ov I'm not sure we've even really BD'd enough for anything to have happened lol.

If high temps normally indicate pregnancy I'll take it as a given that they're just abnormal temps.

I guess I should actually read the guidance notes on FF about what your temps mean.

What factors influence my basal body temperature?

There are certain factors that can influence your basal body temperature. These should be noted in the notes section of Fertility Friend or checked on the checklist on the data entry page.
These factors will usually not make charting and chart analysis impossible, especially if they occur only rarely, though it may be more challenging. In most cases, even when these factors apply on an ongoing basis, they will not skew your data so much that reading the chart is impossible. It is important to make a note of the factors, however to help with the interpretation of the chart. The following factors may influence your BBT:
    • fever
    • illness and infections (even those that do not produce a fever)
    • cold, sore throat
    • drugs and medications
    • alcohol (especially in large quantities, though all alcohol consumption should be recorded)
    • smoking (if you smoke, you should consider quitting before you are even pregnant)
    • emotional stress
    • physical stress
    • excitement
    • sleep disturbances (insomnia, night-waking, upsetting dreams, poor sleep)
    • change in waking time
    • jet lag
    • travel
    • change of climate
    • use of electric blanket
    • change of room temperature
    • recently discontinuing birth control pills
    • breastfeeding

Why are my temperatures fluctuating so much?

When temperatures fluctuate a great deal, it is usually due to inconsistencies in temperature taking methods. Make sure you are taking your temperature at the same time every day, when you first wake up, after a solid block of sleep, and with a BBT thermometer. If you are doing all this and are still getting rocky temperatures, you can try taking your temperature vaginally. Some women notice more stable temperatures when taking their temperature vaginally.
Temperatures can also fluctuate a great deal when you are not ovulating, or when you have delayed ovulation. If you are taking your temperatures accurately and are still having large temperature fluctuations and no clear ovulation pattern, then this might be the case.

    http://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Fluctuating-temperatures.html

How much does my temperature have to rise to indicate ovulation?

In most cases, you are able to see a biphasic pattern on your chart after ovulation has taken place. That is, you will have lower pre-ovulation temperatures and higher post-ovulation temperatures. Your temperature may rise slowly in increments, or quickly, or it may even rise and fall slightly over several days. The rise in temperature is usually about 0.4 degrees Fahrenheit or 0.2 degrees Celsius, but the rise may be as slight as 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit or 0.1 degrees Celsius or even less in some cases. Great variability is possible.
More important than the value of the rise, is the overall pattern of the chart. Fertility Friend helps you determine ovulation based on the pattern of the chart and all fertility signs. Because there are no standard rules that can apply to everyone, Fertility Friend has been tuned and trained to recognize a wide range of ovulation patterns on your chart, based on all your signs.

My tongue was swollen and generally not good looking, but within 2 weeks (after a week in the UK) it improved to really good looking tongue:cool:

Now that I'm back to Singapore it's gone back to being ugly and swollen:( Hope it's just the UTI or antibiotics and not the climate. It's so hot here:o
Swollen tongue usually indicates dehydration, so I daresay you're not drinking enough...;) And/or maybe too much salt?

What on earth is my chart supposed to be telling me?

I’ve not been temping for long to recognise any kind of pattern. I’m due AF any day now and my temp seems to have spiked – is that what is supposed to happen?

I would insert a piccie of my chart but I don't know how to do that - doh!
I don't think you're gonna get AF just yet, but you really haven't been temping long enough to get an overall picture fannyanna.:o Do you think you've ov'd?

So sweet saying you don't want me to get AF QQ - it almost sounds like a new disease like when you got scanned at the airports for avian flu!

he's such a loving hubby usually I don't wake up till the thermometer bleeps and wants reading and I wonder how it got there!!!

Maybe it's nieve but I just feel like maybe if he was going to be a great-grandad that might give him something to hope for,
Good thinking, better get on it:cool:
PMA for the day - it's only 8 working days till I go on holiday,

I don't know why but I think a hot climate would be more conducive to conception that a cold one. Maybe it's because it reminds me of incubators??! :)

QQ - Hope you are over the UTI, how yucky for you.
I think it's nearly gone:o All the urges to go to the loo is gone, so no symptoms:o
AFM, Well I ran out of CBFM sticks, bought some tesco OPKs and on Tuesday got an 'almost' line on Tuesday evening, and then no line whatsoever after that - so I am going to assume, that I ovulated on Weds or Thursday and that my OPKs (the cheapie Amazon ones) were not working for me after the Tesco ones.
Oh dear:o Next cycle then :grouphug:

Looks like you are 2DPO. It's on the low side, so it could be just a blip though:D

Tell me about it, I don't know whether to laugh or cry when I think of how hard I worked to NOT get pregnant. I used to make OH use condoms for a week if I was 20 minutes late with my pill :o

Could you plan non bd activities around ov that MAY naturally lead to bding but without the pressure that it has to? Like getting your OH to give you a massage or having a nice relaxing bath together? If you do it in the evening before bed then if you don't feel like bding at least you should have a lovely sleep and maybe get a quickie in when you wake up :p

I'd tell you not to stress and relax more but find it hard enough to do that myself so will keep quiet about that! I do find doing generally positive things like changing my diet and going to yoga help me feel good about myself and like I'm doing something productive so at least I'm making some progress ikwim. xxx

    Thanks Honey good idea ;):p
If you can think it........it will happen

Just to france for 2 weeks. Driving though and it's right in the South - mum doesn't do planes and there is too many of us to fit in one car so our truck (okay 4x4 but it feels like a truck and certainly drinks diesel like one!) is going too. It's a big family affair, my parents, grandad, me and hubby, brother and gf. When my gran died grandad said the one thing he'd missed when he had to care for her for so long was his holidays in France... so there was kind of a plan put into action that day.

Thought AF had arrived earlier - but it's just where the cat lacerated my upper thigh in the night jumping from the window sill to the bed, missing and her claws went right through the new thin duvet. Third time in as many days she's done that, my upper right leg has so many scratches on it I'm starting to look a little bit emo. :o
