Fingers crossed everything clears up for you and hope you treat yourself to something nice following being hit in the bladder! I bought one of everything diabetic in Thorntons and will now treat myself to a little bit of each everytime I'm really feeling down. Today I will have a piece of fudge as a 'well-done' for getting through the scan :D
Thank you :) I *may* have just tucked into some online retail therapy  also sent DH out for a sausage and egg barm for brekkie :D Nomnomnom
    Enjoy ;)
I've got another appt with my doc in 2 weeks to discuss all the results, but that's it at the moment. Who knows what he'll suggest once he's looked at all the results  so much of what I've read suggests that docs often give completely different recommendations...
What other tests have you had? (sorry if you've already said, my memory is even worse when I'm more tired, and I didn't sleep well last night worrying about the doodab this morning :o

Just blood work a few weeks ago, which said I had low progesterone, high testosterone and normal oestrogen.

I've also bought some agnus castus at lunch time because I understand that's supposed to help normalise progesterone levels (?hopefully?) and I'm on the low-carb/low-sugar diet to lower my insulin resistance and thus my testosterone levels. :)

    Also: *drool* sausage and egg...

I hope you're just one of those that gets no symptoms ILH. After all, women's bodies are a mess of hormones when preg too ;) How long have you been trying? Do you chart or use OPKs or anything? It is crap though, that whole "am I faulty, why isn't it happening for me?" feeling :(

What's the HSG? Hycosythingymajiggything? If it's a test, I say just get it over and done with, the sooner the better. It'll only be playing on your mind until it's done with, after all. :o

Maybe your friend doesn't want to "rub your face in it" or something?

well its arrived like i knew it would
ive been trying since may 10 so for the first 6 months to a year tried letting nature take its course but Mrs N is being a A1 b!tch and i am now OPK but not charting - i have just been for my CD1 bloods and trying to book my HSG which is the tube clearing thing - upto now have no reason not be pregnant not overweight/underweight eat healthyish dont drink much dont smoke excercise no family problems nada (not meaning any of these cause this am just saying)
so hopefully will get this test done this month and fingers crossed its just a blockage :o

My friend is my best friend and normally isnt like this but god only knows !!!

    glad everything went well today:j

So have you been told you do have insulin resistance? Since seeing the polycystic ovaries on the scan I asked for a GTT (Glucose Tolerance Test) to check for insulin resistance and they found that I do have Impaired Glucose Tolerance. My GP basically didn't want to do anything about it, but the Gynae put me straight on Metformin (which seems to be doing a pretty good job so far), so I guess my point is, if the GP isn't prepared to try something you want to try, you can ask to see a gynae or get a second opinion :)

It was good. I've resisted sausages for a while! I've been dieting too, since finding out (with a couple of weeks off for good behaviour ;)) and have managed to lose 4 BMI points now :D

    Thanks. :)
Is it worth talking to your friend? Let her know that either you don't need her to walk on eggshells around her/will let her know when it's to emotional for you/that you still want to be there for her/whatever you're wanting/hoping for? I suspect it's an issue of communication? :o

So are you under a fertility bod now? (sorry again, I feel like I'm asking loads of questions I should already know the answers too atm :o)

Check out the graduates section on QQs list, either from yesterday or the first page :) Can't remember who was when, or how that relates to when you were away...

Hope you had a good time :) Are you TTCing for real now?
