My OH has had to do a sperm sample as well which he wasn't pleased about, think he was a bit embarressed! He took it to the hospital today and when I got home he said he had heard from the doctor already and that there were no swimmers at all . I was like they haven't got back already and he was like they have and they couldn't find any....he was only blummin winding me up!! I thought he didn't seem very upset by it!
The doctor didn't actually say how long it would take, does anyone have any idea?
Hi Charlie
My DH has his done not so long ago, we were told by the Dr results in 5 days and told when we dropped it off at the clinic 2-3 weeks!
It took 2 and a half weeks for him to get the results and that just happened because he was at the Drs for somrthing else. The annoying thing is when you get the results paper they have the time on it was analysed and it was 11minutes or something silly after we dropeed it off
I would just keep ringing the Drs and aking if they are in from about 5/6 days0 -
I hope today goes well for you Emsbet, will be thinking of you today xxx

Morning all (from a wet and soggy Praline).
I cannot stop as I need to earn my crusts today!
Fannyanna - re the abnormal smear/colposcopy, I had this sequence as a teenager. I cannot remember why I went for a smear as there was no need for me to (I had major period issues as a teenager). Anyway, they found pre-cancerous cells and I had them removed under GA (General A (Cannot spell the A part)). From what I remember there was no trauma, it was a simple and easy procedure and I recovered within a day or so.
Anyway, the cusp of it is that after a lot of smears you really do get used to it. At one point I was having 4 a year. The way I see it is that the doc probably views bodies in an absract way as they see them day in, day out for years and a smear can take 5 mins... I spend more time worrying what to wear in the morning. I am fairly extroverted bodywise so will happily strip for anyone anyway admittedly!
Oh and a male doc/nurse is usually less uncomfortable than a female. I figure a woman knows how far she can go without it hurting which is soooo not cool.
Emsbet - I'm thinking and hoping for you today.
Hugs and kisses to all.

Morning everyone.
I went for my appointment this morning and unfortunately they couldn't find anything. They did a pg test and it is showing a faint positive (as they have been since I first tested) so they have taken some blood to test my hcg levels and will call later as I may need to go have some more taken Saturday. They were not hopeful though.
Thank you all for you kind messages and support. You really are a lovely group of ladies and this forum means a lot to me because of the people posting on it.
Hope you are all having a better Thursday.
