Just had a call from the hospital. HCG is 102 so low but instead of asking me to come and get more blood taken on sat as originally suggested they want me to take another pg test in ten days!
Like an idiot I forgot to ask any questions
I assume this means we can;t start TTC again until after then?! Which means we will probably miss ov this month! Although 10 day will be about CD17 and I think I ov'd CD16 last week so maybe that will show no HCG for this bean and the next one (if we are lucky) won't be producing any by then anyway!
Anybody any ideas, expeience with the same?

For anyone looking to loose or gain weight I can thoroughly recommend Food Focus. Just input your foods, and it tracks the calories, fat, carbs etc, and best of all its completely free.

I had to read this about 3 times as I thought you'd put Ford Focus and I was confused with how that would help with weight loss/gain :rotfl:

    Hi Charlie

My DH has his done not so long ago, we were told by the Dr results in 5 days and told when we dropped it off at the clinic 2-3 weeks!
It took 2 and a half weeks for him to get the results and that just happened because he was at the Drs for somrthing else. The annoying thing is when you get the results paper they have the time on it was analysed and it was 11minutes or something silly after we dropeed it off
I would just keep ringing the Drs and aking if they are in from about 5/6 days

Thanks for everyone's experiences of this, I will get my OH to start calling the doctors from next Wednesday.

That's exactly what we said, you have to take the sample in within 2 hours of being produced so to speak so they must look at it fairly quickly. It's just a wait while they get it back to the doctors and they contact you with the results

I *need* to know what's up with Ali!! They're WELL dragging it out :(

I discussed this with DH (just in case) I think multiples would be lovely...but the bigger the number, the more scary the idea becomes :p When will you start that?

    :eek:That's not funny!!!

I think one lady on here said she was supposed to wait a week and it ended up taking more like 3 (some glitch or other) - so maybe work on a week or so??

I know! I'm keeping up to date with Teen Mom 2 just to hear about Ali and each episode she still hasn't had her MRI!!

I loved the last series and especially Caitlyn. Her and her partner for so brave for giving their baby up for adoption. They just wanted her to have an amazing life which is so sweet. I couldn't have done it myself :o

So sorry Emsbet, I was hoping you would get some good news today.

Why could you still not try if you are both happy to this cycle?

Kaemi- Thanks, I will have a look at that as well! I also read it as "Ford Focus" :p.

Good luck for Sunday! That would be amazing if you got a positive on fathers day :)

I just wasn't sure how the HCG levels might affect trying again but thinking about it they didn't say we couldn't and I could also take a test a few days early to see it it is BFN.

It's my own fault for not asking but I just didn't think about it.

    Hi all!

So, after being a long-time lurker I've finally decided to come into the light and join you lovely lot :rotfl:

Here's my story in a nutshell: I'm 26, married in May last year, OH is 27. Came off the pill last July with the intention of TTC, my OH has arthritis and so had been taking leflunomide, which is very very bad for beanies, so he had to take a course of activated charcoal to remove it from his system (not very pleasant!) which took about three months. Then we moved house and changed jobs all within a two week period so thought, OK, lay off the TTC for a little bit!:o Decided in December to pick it up again in March, but had a missed period in Feb, got several BFNs and thought was a bit unusual. Went to Docs, she dismissed me as being hyperchondriac young woman and told me to 'come back in 6 months'. Anyhoo, had a period in March so thought nothing of it. Then had nothing. Missed two periods on the trot, still BFNs. So went back to Doc and insisted something was wrong, had blood tests done and results were 'indicative of PCOS', am due an ultrasound next Friday to confirm, although it's quite likely due to some of the other symptoms. In the meantime have finally had another period and am now CD1, but means my last (nearly) a year of cycles have been 34, 34, 33, 28, 32, 76, 88. Which seems like something has clearly fallen out of kilter.

So, I know a few other ladies here also have PCOS and are TTC, since the Doc was so useless and only listened and took the tests when I strongly suggested they do so, I was hoping for a bit of advice, and possibly any ideas on how to manage PCOS better? I'm not very overweight (maybe BMI 25.5) but have joined a gym and have cut all refined sugar and wheat out of my diet to bring myself back down into the recommended range again. Am open to suggestions and hoping for some of all your PMA to rub off on me :T

Sorry you've had a rough time with your TTC so far. You are right a lot of the lovely ladies on here have PCO or PCOS and will be able to give you some good advice.

Everyone is really supportive here and will make you feel very welcome.

Hope your stay is a short one and you get your BFP soon.
