Hi! I wonder if i can join you on this thread? I've been lurking for a while but never posted before.
A little about me then- I'm 29 and DH is 32 and we got married last July. I decided to come off the pill straight after coming back from our honeymoon in August as we knew we would want to start TTC soon and had heard it could take a while for the pill to come out of your system.
    Welcome redfrog:wave:

I've put you on the first page, let me know if you like it changed/deleted:)
I saw the consultant in April 2011 and his first reaction was that I didn’t have PCOS as I didn't have any of the associated symptoms- I'm quite thin, no excess hair etc but he gave me an internal ultrasound anyway and indeed I did have PCO.
    Same as me then:o
    Glad Agnus Castus is working:T
My next appointment with consultant is in July and he suggested that he might prescribe Clomid to me then. I'm crossing my fingers that it won't be needed but am ready ti take it if needs be.
I'm now on CD23 and according to my temperature chart I haven't Ov'd yet!
Do you chart on Fertility Friend? Could we have a lookie?:)

Well Moon is in the shower, and we're going to "do the deed" when he's out. We've decided that we're going to try to BD every couple of days this month, as it obviously worked for mozzy, and we're determined that it'll be third cycle lucky!
Have a great BD with Moon:)

Anyhoo 21 days bloods confirmed OV so am plodding along quite determined, am going to throw everything at TTC this month, am pulling out all the stops and going to use every book and gadget going to get a BFP :)

Quick question. My next 21 day bloods are due on a Sunday, the receptionist at the Drs said it was ok to do it a day either side so am having it done morning of day 22, will this be ok?
CD22 is fine, so long as it's around 7DPO:)

Definitely don't think full time teaching is for me.
Once you've made the plans, can't you recycle it next year?
    Good luck:o

I find it hard to understand how a woman has reached her mid twenties (?) and has only just had her first smear and yet is planning on having a baby. How are you going to cope if your labour needs to be induced, or the midwife needs to check how far your cervix has dilated by putting her hand up there? Is this something that you have given serious consideration to?
I only had my first smear at 25ish WW (if you're not sexually active they only call for you between 21 and 25 for your first smear), and I am no keener on the idea of any of those procedures than fannyanna seems to be. I think directly baby-related procedures and checks sit differently psychologically/emotionally though...?

How's the first tri treating you WW? :)

ETA: glad the op went well for your dad QQ :)

Hi all. Hope you enjoyed the bank holiday. We get an extra day off so I went walking in the hilly part of Lincolnshire (yes there are hills!) with my mum.

I've had a really weird weekend! Been really moody and tearful, cried for about half an hour on sat, proper sobbing, but didn't have a clue why!! Been all cramp and achey all weekend too, had really achey hips and back. So today......cramps and aches all gone (except for a little bit of an ache but that's from the walking) but also started spotting, wonder if AF is on her way?! CD42 so could well be. I don't usually get spotting but could all be very different now I'm off the pill....time will tell!!

QQ - glad your dad's op went well.

Big hugs to those that the witch got x

RE - Smear Tests. I dread them. They always painful for me, and I have to take hubby along for support. People always say relax, but I find it very hard to do that!

i was 22 when I had my 1st smear, they dont normally call you for your first until 21 ?? anyway I was terrified and it took a female friend dragging me along to the family planning clinic and forcing me to get one, i was sick to my stomach and wound up beyond belief :o

I then had my 1st DS at 23, and pride and dignity went out the window as I was induced - it took 4 days in total and I think I had more than 8 midwives in that time + doctors and i then had complications afterwards which involved further exams. because I had no choice about it, it was too late to talk myself out of it :rotfl: I wasnt bothered at all, i knew the matter was out of my hands and getting wound up would only make matters worse !

Im sure when the time comes fannyanna is going to be too excited about seeing her baby than getting upset aboout anything else ;)

They don't call you for a smear now until you're 25.

Thanks to those of you who have commented about understanding how I feel. You got it completely spot on - it's not nice (especially the first time) but wanting to have a baby means you have to suck it up and deal with these things (which I'm sure I will do when the time comes)!

You just said it a lot more eloquently (and a lot less hormonally crazy lady) than what I would have been able to convey lol

Oh and thanks for reminding me why I post here - for support!

Lisa - I know what you mean about being emotional. I've felt like a crazy lady for the past few weeks - one minute I'm laughing the next I'm crying. Hope you start feeling better in yourself soon x

QQ - Haven't really been on top of what's going on with everyone lately but glad to hear your Dad's op went well (must confess to not realising he was having an op). Do you have an idea of how much longer he might be in the hospital for?

    *delurks*

In fact they won't let you have a smear any earlier than 25, even if you ask for one. NHS rules :o

    Hiya,

No change here, I do have a water infection though so got some baby friendly antibiotics (apparently!) :o

QQ- Sooo glad you dad is doing well :D

    Congrats Mozzyc!

I was going to say before the last couple of posts- you definately can't have a smear before 25 now. Think they raised the age when I got into my 20's so I just missed out. Tried getting one a couple of years ago and they would not do it!
