Aw, bless ya. Have a creepy group hug on me :grouphug:
Do you know why did the doctor put those dates instead of 3rd and 7th?
CD1 is the first day where you have full red flow and not just spotting.
xx
Thanks
I wonder if she just got the dates muddled up. I think she worked out the first test falling due on the Sunday and then made it the next working day (Monday). I didn't have a diary at the time (and I was traumatised) so didn't really notice the dates seemed odd until now.
Apologies now for TMI - it came on heavy the Saturday night and then kinda stopped until the next morning. That's why I was unsure as to whether to count CD1 as the Saturday or the Sunday. I guess ultimately a day here or there wouldn't make that much difference???0 -
Thanks

I would think Saturday was CD1 then.

Afternoon All,
Firstly, Congrats MossyC!!!! Fab news :j
Secondly, Glad to hear your Dad's op went ok QQ, hope he is well along the road to recovery
Thirdly, hugs to those that have recieved not so good news in the last few days, apologies I can't recall all your names but I am thinking of you!
QQ, would you be so kind and put me as CD1 - AF started over night. Looks like my perfect 28 day cycle isn't so perfect afterall, meh!
I'd got myself into a right tizzy when I thought AF was visiting me at CD 21 ish then I recounted the days in my diary and on here (Thanks QQ!!) and realised it was only 2 days early - not soooo bad I suppose.
I've ordered my thermometer and will register on FF shortly. Will also go and buy some Agnus Castus in the next few days.
Hope everyone has good bank holiday weekends? DH and I went to a Uber swish hotel in Goodwood, it was the wedding present the company I work for gave us. Hotel was beautiful and I was naughty and had two glasses of wine with dinner (I was sure I hadn't hooked a bean this cycle).
Deary me, I am such a cheap date now - two glasses with dinner and I was all over the shop :rotfl: Gawd knows what I'll be like once a bean is caught and actually arrives! A mere sniff will probably be enough to put me on the floor.
SBD and hugs all round!

I guess you could always give them a ring just to confirm with the doctor. Tell her you've had a look at your dates and just wanted to make sure you were booked in fr your tests at the right time.
I would think Saturday was CD1 then.
xx
Thank you - you're very helpful
I'll stick with CD1 and I'll get the blood tests this Friday (CD21) and Tuesday (CD25). You just go to the hospital and wait in turn for blood tests so it's easy to change the date from what the Doc had suggested. If they ask why I've come on a different date to what my Doc has written down I'll just explain that the dates don't quite match my cycle.0 -
I can change it to CD17 if you like?:)
Never heard of CD22 & 25 test, only CD3 & CD21:huh:
The Day 21 test should be done at 7DPO because it is to check if you ov'd OK or not. Do you know when you ov'd?
As for CD3, it is to check all your hormones. It's sometimes done at CD2.
If you think you are a late ovulator, then it's better to go as late as possible:o
If you go before ov, then the blood test will say you haven't ov'd:o
Ooops sorry missed this originally.
You know what I think my Doctor doesn't have much of an idea when I should do the blood tests - haha.
I'm just gonna go along for when she said and see what happens.
I'll stick with CD18 - thanks QQ0 -
Well I had my dreaded Doctors appointment this morning - internal examination and smear (first time ever).
As embarrassing as the appointment was I made it worse by crying - I'd got myself into such a state so couple that with crazy hormones it was never going to go well. My Doctor was really lovely about it though.
So at least that's all over and done however I now have equally enjoyable things to look forward to - NOT. She's referred me for an internal scan (joy) and once I've had a certain blood test done she's going to refer me for some procedure where they check to see if your tubes are blocked (oh joy of all joys). Anyway, I'm not going to stress about that until it happens.
I find it hard to understand how a woman has reached her mid twenties (?) and has only just had her first smear and yet is planning on having a baby. How are you going to cope if your labour needs to be induced, or the midwife needs to check how far your cervix has dilated by putting her hand up there? Is this something that you have given serious consideration to?0 -
