Can I ask a question please for the ladies who do not temp ... My thermometer dropped in the sink so broke mid way through cycle so I decided to give it a miss this month ... How do you know when you ov - some pregnant lady (sorry I can not recall name!) said that she had never had a +ve hpt (?) but had still managed a BFP.

I have had 2 days of EWCM when I have wiped and sorry for TMI but I know there was some EWCM twice as stretchy yesterday near my cervix - I feel very foolish writing all this but I am sure a few of ladies track this kind of way too (or maybe just me :() This has definately gone today.

I think I ov Wednesday or Thursday but can not be sure which day but I definately think I did ov :o
I do temp but since that only tells me after the fact, I also observe my cervix and CM. Personally I've found checking my cervix to be a much better/more reliable indicator than CM as it seems to be more consistent from month to month and I do notice a clear change corresponding with the temperature shift.
Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.

Sorry if this is a daft question (am new to this whole TTC thing so still learning!) but how does your cervix change throughout a cycle? I know about temp and CM but wasn't aware of changes to the cervix itself.

sign0050.gif I'm having wierd problems with AF too. Normally she's only here for 7 days, but I've still got brown discharge, and she appeared first on 24th April, then disappeared 2 days later, and then came back on with full force on 27th. Don't know if this means that it was a chemical pregnancy then or not, as normally I'm very regular?
Also having seen the definition you gave QQ on what is CD1, I'm not sure if I should have counted from 27th as that was when it was full red flow?confused0024.gif
I'd say the full force one on the 27th is your CD1.
Whether you had a chemical is anyone's guess. Hope not:o

Hi, Can I join you all. I'm planning on starting to ttc again once af has arrived following a m/c a couple of weeks ago.

So if you'll accept me, I'm ttc what will be my 4th. I have probably been through it all in pregnancy and in the past have taken between a 1mth to 12mths to conceive so I could be with you for a few month's or a year, but first of all I need to wait for my first af to arrive following the m/c as until then I won't know where my cycles are.
    Welcome Ruth:wave:

Would you like to be listed on the first page?
Would something like this be OK?

Just out of curiousity (and hopefully it's ok to post this here rather than on the new waiting to TTC thread) what did you all do in preperation to TTC (if any)?

For us the majority of the preperation was financial. My husband has two children that we financial support so it makes it a little bit more tricky financially to have our own bambino (especially since I'm the breadwinner - we'd really struggle whilst I'm on maternity if we hadn't built in some provisions).

We were also waiting to sell our place and move before TTC but we've given up that idea for now. We didn't want to hold off any longer as we knew that it could take a while to conceive. We'd been trying to sell our place for 7 months so the thought of holding off for longer and then struggling to conceive wasn't appealing.

Physically the only thing I did was to stop taking the pill. I'm now wishing we'd started a diet and started taking supplements - oh well, it's never too late to start is it :). I've also got a doctors appointment next week as I don't have periods and wonder if I have something like PCOS. I know they can't look at anything fertility related until we've been TTC for a year but I'm hoping they can look at any general problems in that region.

Anyway just curious - although understand if people don't want to share.

Still waiting for a negative hpt, only time I have ever wanted to only see one line on the test stick.

It was such an early mc that I don't think I had actually got used to be pg again when it happenend. Sorry to hear you've been through a mc as well. I know you've been trying for a while but on an encouraging note my sil has her 1st baby last year after 5 years of trying and is now expecting no 2, so never give up.

Only things I have done to prepare this time is starting taking folic acid and I've booked myself in for a smear test as I can't have one once I'm pregnant.
