COMP & Rebekah (and everyone else who is not yet TTC'ing) - the idea of a separate thread for us sounds great and I hope that if any of you other ladies would like to offer us advise, support, or even just a natter, that you will come over and say hello.

Just wanted to edit this to say that I think it's for the best that I don't post on here. I have generally been a lurker anyway, but had been itching to post because I really, really want to be pregnant / have a baby. For those who are interested, I'm having the contraceptive implant taken out in December, and then I may be popping back in here.

    WTTTC thread

On a more serious note - if Phunkles and GG are no longer posting, how would the newbies join the secret FB group? I'm not saying that I want to join it, but other newbies might want to...
Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP
(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)

GG, Phunkles, Euro, COMP and anyone else who's thinking of leaving, STOP!
We are all in this together, so let's have a dodgy group hug and make up:grouphug:

And for those of you who don't know me which is probably most, my first took 8 months ttc with the ladies support on here and I'm due Monday. :)
    Aww.. time flies so fast:o
Will you be coming back for seconds?:D

ETA: It is also rare to have hyperemesis gravidarum in the first place - I don't want anybody to be googling it and then worrying about it as it's highly unlikely you would get it.
    That was terrible (((hugs))).

QQ, please could you mark me as CD1?
AF has arrived, albeit in a dark brown, rusty way. This is to be expected though as I ran two pill packs together to ensure the witch didn't arrive on my wedding day! Previously when I have done this I always got a dark, rusty period which I'm guessing is old blood?

First time in my life I am pleased that the witch has come knocking! Now I can plot some pouncing on DH for the critical point.
    Good planning! Good luck!:j

Well I'm finally at 14DPO - what a long 2 weeks - and even though I said I'd be testing on Sunday I had a sneaky peek test this morning and it was negative. I'm still going to test on Sunday as you never know :D.

Disclaimer: I don't mean to be rude at all but I just want to be clear - This is my first test and I'm going to talk about how I feel. If you don't think you can handle this please do not read any further as I DO NOT want to upset anyone but at the same time I joined this thread for a reason - to discuss my feelings and get support. P.S. If it's not appropriate for me to be discussing this just let me know :o

Hubby was very down when he left for work this moring but I'm surprisingly ok with it. Just because this is my first month trying doesn't mean that I haven't already experienced ups and downs. I feel that the first test has been the worst and that I'm kinda settling into TTC and I'm not so over excitable and stupidly optimistic as I first was (I know it's only been 2 weeks :)). So anyway I feel more settled and I know it's not going to happen straight away and I actually feel more at peace now that I know it's not happened this month. Give it a few hours and I'm sure I'll be really down about it :rotfl:.

Anyway, really hope that my post doesn't p anyone off. Cause I like you guys!!!

No, not at all. Actually some people are unlucky enough for it to continue after pregnancy so although I don't still have it, it's not impossible although rare.

Phew *breathes big sigh of relief*

Those group hug emoticons are really dodgy looking ;) but I agree with your sentiment of "we are all in this together".

It's a difficult one. I popped into that thread and said hello etc, but every time I looked at it the talk seemed very much focussed on IVF/IUI or some sorts of treatments for infertility and even though we have been trying for ages and ages, I don't feel ready for those sorts of things and I don't know if I ever will be. Therefore I don't feel like I fit into that thread. On a day to day basis the things I am facing are pretty much the same as a lot of the newbies (OPKs, temping, blah blah blah) so I feel more at home here.

Thank you for this. Seems similar to what QQ was saying yesterday. Didn't realise it was so 1 way streeted over there  This thread is much more homely and generally welcoming any way.

I feel your pain - this month has been a bit of a shock to me after over ten years of almost pain free, pill induced periods. It'll all be worth it in the end though that's what we have to remember :o
