Trying for a Baby Part Six

  • Just to add my opinion… I have been trying for years but as others have said what do you do – give up and say “oh well no baby after 2 years of trying, I can’t be bothered anymore I’ll just remain childless”?

It is a bit frustrating when some people get their BFPs after a month of trying, or when people we know get pregnant by accident but that’s life. We all have to think of the positives because they exist for all of us.

QQ has been trying for a while and I am sure we’d all love her to get her BFP. But she herself is lucky that her and her DH can afford to have IVF and these other treatments which are going to work extremely successfully very soon.

GG, I know you get particularly upset but unlike most of the people here you have a gorgeous child already. Now I am not suggesting for a minute that makes the TTC process any easier for you I am merely saying I would give my right arm to have one child right now and I really envy you. You are also young compared to a lot of people on here and have maybe 10 years or more in which to get a BFP (not that it’s going to take that long!), some people here are nearer 40 and don’t have that luxury.

There is always someone worse off and there are different reasons for our urgencies in wanting to conceive. But for all those who are getting upset, our time really will come. I cross my fingers it won’t take another 32 months for me mainly because DH and I will have given up trying by then – but even if that is the case then we will hopefully be parents to a couple of lovely adopted children. And again we think ourselves lucky because there is no reason at all why we wouldn’t be accepted to adopt, and that’s not the case for others.

Now to the important bits :D

    CONGRATULATIONS MIMI AND CLARE!!!!!!!!!

Euronorris – hope your AF decides to sort itself out soon

Thanks QQ. I really don’t think we’ve been successful this month. I can feel that AF is on her way. Shame as well because if I got a BFP this month due date would be around DHs birthday which would be an amazing 30th birthday present for him!

But how bout those people who have been trying for mega ages 12months+ go over to that thread? That way you have the extra support and avoid all those that come in for 2 weeks and are preg 2 weeks later. I guess which every thread everyone is on though there will stil be those who are getting preg on each thread.
I think that thread was created for that very purpose. But most are doing IVF etc, and can be too overwhelming for those who haven't been to the doctors.

I post there too. But this thread is more active and chatty:p

OK, I'm back. Thanks for the warm wishes ladies, I just needed to calm down a bit. Hormones!

Anyway, moving forward. AF has disappeared completely, so if still nothing by morning, I will update FF to say spotting instead.
    Glad you are back:wave:

Oh by the way, my Dutch friend was very impressed with my Dutch and said I'm far better than his girlfriend:p

Spotting day 3 here. No aunt flow yet but I do have mild period pain now so I think she is only hours away.

Just for clarification - I am not saying that anyone who has hit the jackpot shouldn't share that joy... I'm not saying that at all. I just think sometimes those posts could be a little more sensitively written.

I personally would have done an Osama (ran and hid) but as said it would be because I know I would be scared and the discussion I would want to have would not/will not be appropriate for here.

Anyone in the baby making business should stay here in my opinion... the information from the experts is unreal. I'm sure some of you should be billing others such as me. (I wonder if that would be tax-deductible)

Incidentally, not that you needed to notice, but after a few gems of advice regarding all sorts of chemical testing and acrobatics I decided to delegate all baby making responsibility to the man and his app and we are going slow. I may OPK but I never seem to get a positive reading. I have the bladder of a walnut so my golden waste will never be strong enough really.

Hello ladies, not sure if anyone remembers me...hopefully everyone one who was here when i started posting has been lucky! And everyone else has an uber short stay!!

We've been ttc since about July last year but have gone of the boil in the last few months so altho i've been lurking i haven't really been posting on account of feeling like a fraud! :p

I came of the pill in about June last year after 15 years on it...and my cycles still haven't regulated :( They are anything from 28-45 days long  As for ov and EWCM, i don't appear to have either!!

Anyways, there is a point to my ramblings....in the form of some very basic (some may say stoopid) questions!! :D

What is the best ahem position for ttc? I've always read/been told man on top, is this what you ladies stick to?

Also, i am a little concerned about the err 'leakage' after the deposit has been made :rotfl:Anyone had the same problem and found any solutions??

Apologies for putting any of you for your lunch!!
