I am having trouble with ebuyer com
Bought a Canon printer off them for £90 and within 34 days it has now broken. I mailed them and they told me to go to Canon and an 0844 number to phone and not to them.
After reading on this web site that I need it to be them to return and query things with they are now ignoring my emails.
Where next..?
Any ideas out there..??0 -

no you dont
its often easier and quicker to deal with the manufacturer
you can insist on Ebuyer doing it,but it will just leave you without a printer longer0 -
thankyou 'custardy'
i expected it to be a little longer before it broke!0 -
Hi, wondering if anyone can help!? I recently bought a pair of shoes second hand from ebay, and when i recieved the shoes ,one shoe was bigger than the other? They both had size 7 on the shoes and were advertised as 7's, but there is an obvious size difference of an inch as ive measured the shoes from heel to toe! I contacted the seller who quite frankly wasnt very helpful and said that i wasnt entitled to a refund as she didnt lie about the shoe size when she posted them on ebay, and that she had worn them previously with no bother?and that she was astounded that i had suggested that they were an odd size!! Im abit baffled as to what to do as they are very clearly a different size, and now an unwanted odd pair of shoes! HELP? Any advice would be very very grateful.0

you will be required to return them by a tracked method and prove delivery0 -
Great! Thanks for that! The seller has now contacted me, to ask if I would send the shoes back to her, and IF, they are as I described, she would offer a refund! What would happen if the seller decides no, they wont give me refund as they insist that the shoes are ok? and, i have also read upon ebays t &C's that they could possibly offer a partial refund ALTHOUGH the seller has not specified that to me, where do I stand? tried to contact ebay but useless!! Im reluctant to send them back as I have a feeling the seller will only offer a partial refund.0

Hi all,
I am looking for a little advice, i have a customer who ordered some items from my online store on 15th of november. I processsed the order and despatched the items same day by recorded mail.
I have had the customer on recently stating that they want a full refund due to non receipt of goods. I have proof of posting and I have checked with Royal Mail who told me that they attempted delivery and carded the address on the 19th Nov. Since then no-one has attempted to collect the item from them.
Where do i stand with this as i have no goods returned to me and the customer wants to now cancel the order quoting the distance sellling act.
Any help gratefully received.0 -

You could tell your customer the location of the parcel but if they still insist on a refund then you should give it."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Hi,
looking for some advice regarding the issue detailed below.
Purchased this model last year with the idea of connecting a x-box this year.
Having looked at the specification page on HP site:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...002_UKEN#N1276
it clearly states in words and pictures that on the back top left hand side of unit is a video input terminals. On purchasing the x-box and then removing the cover from the touchsmart to connect all I have is empty ports were the input terminals should be.
E-mailed HP who confirmed the ports were missing and arranged for the unit to be taken away.
The unit has been returned but still no inputs.
Another e-mail to HP technical who asked for time to investigate.
Got a reply today saying that the model I have does not have these ports installed but a later model, yet they admit the specification page is wrong.
The technical lady I have been dealing with, who has been very helpfull, has now pased this on to customer complaints department and asked for all my details so that they can contact me to discuss this issue.
Looking for advice as were I stand regarding this issue as I purchased this unit after looking through the specification page.
Its been two weeks since technical lady forwarded to customer complaints and no contact from HP customer complaints.

I would suggest, (if you have not already done so), to take a screen shot of the page.
Then inform them , (by recorded delivery letter), you want what you paid for, i.e. with "1 - Video display inputs". (this is from the website re your link).
If they won't agree then I would inform them you are going to have them fitted and forward the bill to HP, if necessary through the SCC, as the item you have is "not as described" under SoGA.
See section Part 5, 48A of SoGA
48A Introductory
(1) This section applies if--
(a) the buyer deals as consumer or, in Scotland, there is a consumer contract in which the buyer is a consumer, and
(b) the goods do not conform to the contract of sale at the time of delivery.
(2) If this section applies, the buyer has the right--
(a) under and in accordance with section 48B below, to require the seller to repair or replace the goods, or
(b) under and in accordance with section 48C below--
(i) to require the seller to reduce the purchase price of the goods to the buyer by an appropriate amount, or
(ii) to rescind the contract with regard to the goods in question.
(1) (b) relates to the goods not conforming to contract.
(2) (b) (i) would give you the ability to have them installed, (if possible).
(ii) gives you the right to cancel the contract and receive all monies back including return postage.
