Sorry I've not posted much been busy busy busy decluttering , painting and spending. I'm doing far too much but it all just has to be done asap before we lose the garden to winter. I want it looking good on the EA's photo's.

Purchases for doing the house up have gone through the roof although I have bought lots of bargains. duvets , duvet covers, radiator cabinets..In the Night Garden stuff (ok not technically DIY but how could I resist when my DD loves INTG ! )

Bought a new rug from Ikea last week which will have to go back as it doesn't lie flat - What a pain! Ikea isn't the easiest place to run in and out of either!

The house is looking good, clean and fresh. Next lot of carpets going down next Thursday and then we should be finished ..whooo :j so off to the EA's next Friday to organise putting the house on the market.

Anyway. checked online banking today and received an extra £40 odd from somewhere so I'll OP £10 for today until I know where it's come from...every little helps.

Septembers monthly total for op-ing now stands at : £105.01. Need to do better.

Good luck with keeping the house nice and tidy haha. My friend recently sold her house but she said it was so hard to try and keep the house 'showroomy' for potential buyers especially living with kids. She was constantly tidying up. I remember house hunting and some of the houses were a right state which would put me off even though the house was probably ok. One house had a terrible kitchen with oil fat all up the wall yuk!

I'm going to need it aren't I? :D Especially when the baby comes, hopefully he'll sleep a lot. :)

TBH it's always very tidy as If I miss a day then it looks like a bombs hit it. It stresses me out when it's like that. For me, personally, a tidy house = a tidy mind and all that.

I went to a distant friends house the other day and she has her house on the market and has done for 4 years. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the carpet and the oily stains that were all over it. If that's the first thing you see when you walk in, you can sort of imagine that the further around the house you get the worst it's going to be.

Just caught up (all 4 children ahve been ill this week!!) The potential house sounds lovely - fingers crossed for you! You're being very busy with all this DIY, too! I'm looking forward to my DH finishing work up North so he can carry on with some here - it desperately needs it and I can only get little bits done with DS3 (15 months) around

Well done on the OPs :D

Well enjoy the rest then Pammy, you deserve it! :)

Hope your children are feeling better Greent. Is it this cold that's going around all of a sudden? DD (12months) has been ill too and ..god can she tant if she doesn't get what she wants all of a sudden! She's a different child this week.

I understand what you mean about the DIY, we havent done any for so long with being busy that now we have so much to do. It's hard with a baby though isnt it. I'm lucky that she sleeps for about 2.5 hours in the afternoon so I can then do whatever.

Just popped to Nxt to take a duvet cover back for a refund and accidently ended up wandering from the Home dept to the Clothing Dept. , like you do, and ended up buying DD some winter clothes. £44 and then to B&Q, my "second home at the moment" to spend another £48 on some doorknobs and paint for the kitchen, same colour but needs refreshing. If I see another paintbrush I'm...:) Hopefully It'll be worth it in the end.

Anyone noticed Onepoll doing loads of 15p surveys recently - it's brill. Nearly on my second lot of £40 here

Shame on you accidently buying clothes haha.

I've had a nasty cough and cold this week as well. Its a nightmare at work when you answer the phone and are desperate to cough! :o night time is the same as soon as you lie down!
