I hope the pains stop, do they think its ok for you to be having them? I think the only way forward is to try and not think about the birth haha, just the word scares me!Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!
Now just over 2 years we have taken on the challenge again! )(starting £237k Nov 2014) Current mortgage £232,399.82, current overpayment total £1550, years remaining= 170 -
me2 Jo !!
But as they say what goes up...! :rotfl:
They'll be normal braxton hicks combined with me taking EPO making them worse. I didn't bother mentioning them to the MW as they literally push you out of the door they are so busy.
I don't know why Im scared this time, it's literally one push and they are out. I've always been lucky like that and the births all halved in time each time. First born was 4 hours long and so on...up to last year when I was induced and it was about 3 hours but still terribly painful.
Right we're off in a minute to visit the Estate Agents to book a valuation on the house - Exciting stuff.
Back later to OP!I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Good afternoon !
I've reached my payout for onep8ll so...
£40.00 to op today
£ 2.98 refund I'm oping
£ 2.22 F cheese cash back
Total OP today : £45.20
Total Op for September : £235.84 ..just from bits and bobs and not from any income.
We went to the Ea's and they are valuing the house on Wednesday. One has gone up for sale down the road for 137k which seems cheap really but Im now thinking along the same price and not the 145k I was hoping for. Wednesday will shed more light on it though. I have to be realistic as I do want a quick sale.
The radiator cabinet is now up and the bed is being assembled by FIL as I type so DS1 will sleep in a bed tonight! My house is looking yummy!
We are going to view the gorgeous house by the waterfall on the river on sunday which we are really excited about :j:j:j I really hope we get this one as the location etc is perfect .
Back later to catch up on some diaries and spur me on.

Overpayments...
Another overpayment for September : £27.80 from cb sites, penny jar etc
Total for September : £332.97.
£601 normal mortgage payments comes out of our bank account on the 28th and I hope to op another £190 ish by then. Fingers crossed.
Verdict of the house... well we went to see the house on Sunday and absolutely adore and want it. A quick guesstimate says we would need to spend around £28k on doing it up but it is liveable in the meantime.
We had our house valuation done today and it was said that we should go for between 125 and 130k depending on if we want a quick sale or not. The EA said it was a lovely home and all that..it is and I know they always say that anyway but it really is so I've decided on 127,995 which seemed middle of the figure. The house up the road from us is marketed at 137k which she said was overpriced in her eyes, ( she valued it ) so I have to be sensible about it. I'm just glad its over now and ready for being on the market....now I just hope it sells quickly
Other news ...14 days until baby blue is due !

Hope you get a quick sale and the next 2 weeks go quickly for you!
Great OP's too!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I can't sleep and I have feet the size of a hippo's but that's another story...so looking at figures for the month I ideally wanted to OP £523.17 this month as part of my personal mini challenge. our spends have been huge and Im waiting for OH to get paid in the next few days but I want to send the money now so it gets there in time soooo..I've borrowed the money from my Xmas fund which I upped this month by £100 to give us an extra £400 for Xmas DVD spends and treats...so the treat fund will now be £300 instead.
Right so now we have £190.20 going over to the mortgage as a faster payment :j
Making our total Op's for the month ...and this is a final figure of... drum roll...£523.17 excluding normal payment of £601.83
I will update the exact mortgage balance on the 29th but it should come down from 89,232.14 to about 88,363 ? :j
Oh and the house For Sale sign goes up today...I wonder how I will feel when I see it.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
I'm still up and now worrying about money and if selling the house is the right thing to do...I know it is as we desperately need more space plus I want to move. Oh why do i worry so much in the last weeks of pregnancy and I can't sleep.
I hate not sleeping due to money. We are very fortunate that we now have no debts except for the mortgage. I've been there and done that with restless nights before so now this seems so silly to worry about moving and if we will have enough money for the house we want. I guess I'm just a natural born worrier.
I think I'll try and sleep in a minute with the intention to reign in on my food shopping and make some sort of menu plan when I wake. I'm way over budget on food shopping this week as I've been stockpiling for the big event ..now I need to make some sort of menu. Quick , easy and cheap.
As I don't plan to make any more overpayments this month, I'm going to try and complete as many surveys /polls as possible and do a few more clicks with sites I'm already signed up with to make as many pennies as I can. I could do with reading a few more diaries too to spur me on and keep me on track.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Hi Iris,
I really think insomnia in the last few weeks is the worst. I know of so many people who say they slept better once baby arrives (not me may I add with a 1-2 hourly feeder!) Well done on your OP's, they are fab!
I can understand why you are stressed, moving house is near the top of the list of most stressful life events. I hope that when you do sell it all goes smoothly.

Thanks Cath. I wouldn't have minded much about waking up naturally last night but I was woken by 2 of my lads at midnight going to the bathroom and flicking the bathroom light on/off...that was it I was awake then till after 5.
I think I'm going to take it easy today and...
spend most of the day on here.
watch Cbeebies with DD
eat junk and chill
Do some surveys
Sort a menu out and see what we need to buy
and sort some washing out :cool:I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Not sleeping is the worst. I can sleep like a log given the chance, but little things keep me awake like i could hear DHs phone downstairs beeping the other night. And if i am worried then there is no helping me.
Luckily nursery is wiping out both of my two, so i am hopeful for getting a bit of a lie in come the weekend. They are not waking till at least 7 each day. DS2 was nearer half past this morning from all the walking about i think.0
