Well done to your son too, at least he has a chance of getting into one of his first choices. I had a friend who tried for oxford or cambridge and although she got 3A's they wouldn't accept her. Think sometimes your face just has to fit.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Absolutely scrummy. I could be tempted to get broody.
The item. I would be unscrupulous too i think. I am still a bit tempted to about something i ordered the other week. It was 2 parcels, and the courier who brought the 2nd lot left it at the front door in the pouring rain as he could not be bothered. Luckily i saw him and was out straight away, but i was so peeved off as it was books in a cardboard box and they would quickly have been ruined. I still feel like doing it but that kind of feels more dishonest. Plus, the guy might get the sack if it were found out. Dh said i should, seems though it wasn't signed for so i haven't received it. I'm kind of a good girl though really.0 -

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works but I would call the company. I did this when I got delivered 2 printers but actually they never bothered collecting so I gave to DD, mine eventually packed up & she gave me the 2nd back
. I also told pigsback when they double credited me with points - they took most back but let me keep some. And years ago when I got given change of a £50 note instead of a £20 I went back to tell postmaster only to be told 'you'd left the shop, it's too late' (I hadn't left) - shame he interupted after I'd said 'excuse me but you gave me the wrong change' before I could tell him he'd given me too much
Personally I'd be afraid of attracting bad karma every time I used the original item - maybe I'm just too sensitive
Rocco lovelyA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
