My Transit code was punched in and worked 1st time!!

My relatives Mondeo has suffered the same problem for 6 months!

Oh dear locked 13 is normally terminal! You could try switching on stereo and leaving UNDESTURBED could take best part on an hour, this MAY clear it.
If you manage to clear it then the code is 2171

Numbers on ejectable panel are:
