The battery when flat on my ford mondeo so I swapped it over and of course the radio wanted a code! But I have lost the owners Manuel :mad:… Please can somebody help me and give me the code? many thanks in advance

Unfortunately the majority of SIEMENS/VDO codes (including your CAR400) will NOT be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database…which is not commercially available..

Try your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will connect it to a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

Please post the 14 character Serial Number beginning with GM xxxxxxxxxxxx or PH or similar , often found stamped in the metal casing
