    £900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x
  • Having come to the end of our 2 yr fix with YBS my wife and I reviewed the perceived state of the economy and could only see the base rate increasing. We also wanted to set up a system of saving that would give us a 10 yr repayment scheme. Ended up opting for a 10yr fix at 4.78%.

  • We had the same thoughts as Jono and opted for 4.89% fixed for 10 years with Nationwide in December 2005. Are currently overpaying and hope to finish mortgage by 2010.

    5.7% for an offset mortgage.

£43k savings offset against a £52k mortgage, so only paying interest on £9k :D Finding it very hard not to spend the savings. Just too tempting :p
  • 5.19 fixed 5 years {I fear interest rates will be going up to cover inflation which will arrive on these shores soon as a tail wind to the excessive money supply creation we have experienced, fuelling the debt boom we have in the UK presently}.

4.67% fixed for 10 years taken out in June from the Woolwich.

£143K part and part mortgage over 16 years - £60,000 interest only (should be repaid by endowment in 12 years) £83K repayment.

Overpaying by £150 per month to be clear of mortgage when the endowment matures.

    BR + 0.17% for life

Switched to this after my previous deal expired since it was the best around at the time with minimal setup fees (same lender as before).
