how many people actually know when you ask them - not many0

4.69% fixed term for 5 years. Just about to start. No application fees.0

Ours is higher than most here. 5.85% for an offset current account mortgage.
But we decided offset seems best for our circumstances.
~£91K mortgage over 17 years
~£22K to offset against this
~overpaying by £300 pm
~surplus funds from OH's monthly salary helps to offset debit interest
The current forecasts suggest we can be mortgage free in 6-7 years. It's also tax efficient for us as OH is a higher rate tax payer.Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs
Total cashback / freebies / money-saving: 2006 ~ £3,961 | 2007 ~ 3,610 | 2008 ~ £4,159 | 2009 ~ £1,449

tied in for 5 years, but can stay on same tracker deal for lifetime of mortgage
got 3 endowments (As bad as they are) due to mature in 5/6 years time, been reducing interest paying portion, over the past few years, so endowments should cover at least £50ksmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Who is this mortgage with??0 -
My guess is that the rate may well have risen since gazza secured it.
However would still be interesting to know who it's with so we can check out their current offering.0 -
i think i remember gazza saying it was a staff rate as he worked for the lender0

I am on 4.75% variable with 1 year left.
I do check the latest deals and whilst there are lower rates around, the fees generally make it not worth switching.
Will probably stay with same lender (Britannia) at the end but switch deal.0
