OK, I may as well join in...

0.01% below bank of England base rate for 3 years. Have had it for 2. First year (approx) at 4.74, then rate drop for (appox) another year at 4.49, but I'm expecting the letter from the bank about going back to 4.74 any day now after the August rise....

It's with Abbey. It was for 25 years and £212,000, but I hope that we will have it paid off in about another 10.... In the meantime we will remortgage next year and will seriously consider offset, so higher rate, but could be worth it!
  • Okay, think I am possibly the highest here...6.29%

We are planning on getting a better deal, but just so busy at the moment...

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I'm on a Base Rate + 0.45% for the life of the mortgage.

  • 4.39% two year fix with Halifax.

  • First Direct offset mortgage - taken out this March. 4.89% fixed for 5 years. Think the 'booking fee' was £295 - we paid it upfront rather than adding it to the mortgage.
  • 4.74% (variable) with the Woolwich (Barclays) for 2 years from 17Aug2006. £467,000 borrowed. Was 0.25% lower initially.

2.25% with market harborough bs, fixed for 2 years, but with an extended tie-in of 3 years at their SVR (current at 6.80%).Just had a baby, wife is not working full time, so wanted to reduce our outgoings for the next couple of years. any spare cash each month we will probably park some place with a higher rate of interest or overpay. bit of caculated gamble that the current interest rate cycle will have peaked and will be coming back down. suits my current requirements but normally would avoid extended tie-ins. a carpet bag would be nice if i'm lucky.
