Whilst Bankfair might not have direct responsibility for the messaging, they are responsible for any of their outcome as it was done in their name.

I've not had a chance to read the Bankfair replies as they were removed but I do hope they'll be doing something about the company they employed whom subsequently tarnished their name/brand.

You missed the point, I believe.

As I recall it, Bankfair did not employ the company to go out and get business, they agreed to buy contacts from the sms sending company's database that the company had built up - or so I recall.

Note how the wording has changed, slightly (perhaps to evade internet searches for the original text?)

After the Bankfair posts had been removed I decided to wash my hands of this thread but it now seems that I may have made a mistake and all is not what it seems.

I came across a post this afternoon on 'The Scream' regarding a company that operates a scam offering people advice on loans and charges for information that can be obtained from CAB for free dating back to June 2009.

All replies to the calls were to premium rate £1 a minute lines. The name of the company was Horizon Finance or Cash Finance Direct, so what has this got to do with this thread you ask?

The address of this company is the same as Bankfair, a coincidence or what?

Now if Bankfair were still able to post here we could have asked them if there were any connections?

  • I've just had a call from an unknown number (no number at all, just blank). It was a recorded message saying about debts etc and if I wanted to get in touch with the company to press 2.

I just hung up. The problem is they know it is a live number now and I haven't a clue who called me as it was completely blank. I also assume if I had pressed option 2, it would have cost me.
