I need to catch up with flying as I've been busy flooring the loft to enable decluttering up there. The people who owned the house before us said the loft had planks down, but omitted to mention this consisted of a small strip about a meter wide running along the middle of the loft. We just chucked all the stuff up when we moved in and have added as the years go by. I need to do a boot sale, but can't sort through what's up there as there's nowhere to move things to. Anyway this is being remediated and I now need to sort things in the living part of the house.
Just my pc cabinet to do and I think that's it. I've been through both boys' wardrobes over the summer: DS1 because he's off to uni next week:eek: and I wanted to see whether he needed anything, and DS2 is growing weekly and is too tall for anything he wore 6mths ago!!
I also need to do some weeding in the garden <sigh> it's about all I seem to do out there. Roll on the end of veg growing season and I can chuck some weedkiller around on the horsetail that's taking over.

    It's Friday - weekend tomorrow:T

    It's only a game

We had sun first thing but the clouds are building - better keep an eye on them as I've got sheets on the line.

Neighbours are being lovely - think they could see how shocked I was when I realised I was causing their problems and that I am trying to sort it as fast as I can. They haven't been in the house a year yet poor souls.

Crafty - don't aplogise. As toots said, house/money worries can cause so much stress. Hope you get it sorted out. I have a bad feeling about some of our windows as well as the front door. Maybe I should listen to you and get them serviced soon, rather than wait for them go wrong.

I've thought about writing a list like triker's, but it would probably take me all day and be completely depressing. :(

Major panic this morning as it's payday and OH hasn't been paid  meaning we have no money

Sending you 'speedy clearance' vibes. Could you speak to the bank and arrange to temporarily sort an overdraft? I had a similar problem, as one of my direct debits went out the day before I got paid. They kindly extended the overdraft by just a little, saving me the extra fee, and I'll phone them today to reduce it back down.
How was your little one with the colic meds?

My wine order arrived this morning (less than 24 hours after ordering) and so far I've spent the morning on the laptop, looking at some other offers (non-alcoholic). And no, I haven't sampled any so far. :p

Apart from the ongoing list, I need to:
    shower and dress
take DS2 into town for haircut and school shoes
call at charity shop and dump on the way
talk to NN (back from holiday last night), as DS2 can't wait to play with his friend
check new costco offers (going on Monday, I think)
bully DS1 into doing his paperround, 'cos it's his last time and the trolley should be collected soon (:j more clutter gone)

OK, I will move my big fat behind off the sofa and into gear! Have a good day, everyone.

Excellent hospital visit all done, signed in at bloods, 40 minute wait so went to X-ray, got back to bloods and it was DS1's turn next result! DS3 was a patient star as always.

Helly hope the funds clear soon

I've propped the fence up a bit so will see if that helps.

Hoovering and mopping for me before lunch and then a bit of gardening before ortho.

MrsChaos - it would probably save you money in the long term to do windows and door before they go completely - you donnt have to do them all at once - what about a rolling refurbishment programme? I would def do a list - its far better to have things written down and dealt with when possible - it stops you 'fire-fighting' - I dont find it depressing - in fact I find it quite therapeutic and freeing! I dont have to keep remembering about something if I just add it to the list and then its nice to go back to it maybe once a week and delete the stuff you have done!

ajmoney - I am in the fair city and its very warm here just now - mostly blue sky - just a few white fluffy clouds!

MrsBartolozzi good luck with the loft and the decluttering.:T
