You'd be more than welcome. We love cake! The plum one was delicious and is half gone.dusty, I wish I lived nearer to you, you always have cake!!!
Ds2 was nearly a gonner when he got caught in a rip at Crackington Haven. The lifeguards were clueless but fortunately my Nephew saw him and hauled his almost unconscious body back to shore. It was very frightening and he hasn't been back in the surf. I've had nightmares and know I must push it out of my mind.
So glad he is ok, that must have been truly terrifying. I find the sea so scary and have the utmost respect for it's powers.
I really must get some ironing done tonight so hoping to get DS3 in bed earlier. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I have had a couple of days off to try and do quality stuff with the boys before the go back to school so not a huge amount done beyond the usual WM/DW/TD and changing sheets.
Has any one heard from Penelope Penguin? She hasn't posted for a while. PP if you are reading and not posting I hope all is ok with you and yours.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Roofer has been and will be sending an estimate. TBH I have used him before and trust him to do a good job at a fair price so told him to put me in the diary. Hopefully he can come in a couple of weeks.

Will be pricey as it will need replacing down to the joists.

I'm having a bit of a rubbish week flying. I was full of good intentions but other things have come up. On the plus side, I have worked every day and cooked every night, and kept on top of the dailies, but oh my the ironing mountain! It's all in the spare room, and my mum is coming to stay on saturday! I'd better get to it........then I need to change the bed and dust and dyson. MUST do the bathroom too...........hey hoYesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift
That's why we call it 'The Present'0 -
Maxonian: even doing the dailies sometimes is beyond me, so I think you should congratulate yourself! Plus having a visitor always motivates me..
so I reckon by the time yours arrives the house will look fab.
Not very much accomplished here. The kitchen is S&S'd, but that's about it. We found a dog wandering down the main road, and when I dialled the number on it's collar it was already in my phone - a friend in the village. She wasn't in, so we've had the dog all day; my Tess was not amused! Then we had some friends over for lunch (spag bol) and they didn't leave til late. And now I'm zzzzzzzzz.. think it's time for bed.
Night all - hope everyone is ok - hugs and spoons to those that need them

Well, I've completely failed to fly today too and just got the dailies done. But I had to go out twice today and just getting out of the house with two small children is a mission in itself! Not got any plans for tomorrow apart from going to the market and Mr T so should be able to get Thurs and Fri done together, children permitting. I've actually been quite enjoying it
DS1 has even caught the bug as he keeps telling me to "put away Mummy". Hopefully I can teach him not to be such a chauvanist like his Dad... Anyway, saying that, he has promised me a take away from the gorgeous italian in the next town tomorrow night, so I should have the house tidy, maybe we can make a night of it IYSWIM
Night everyone, see you in the morning!xSo, there are these boys,
They kinda stole my heart,
They call me Mummy

*flitting in and out*
I went to I***a today, with DD and her friend and DS1. DD's friend is moving out of home into a shared house and starting Uni, and she wanted to buy some bits for her new room. We had a lovely time shopping! I bought a few odds and ends that caught my eye, and we had lunch, then a quick trip to the nearby Primark for the shoes my DD tells me she really needed!
Flying - well, I washed up.
I'll do a lightning whisk round in the morning as I have a friend over for coffee, then some proper flying perhaps in the afternoon.
Thank you all for the lovely comments about DD and DS1 - I've passed them on, and they're both rather pink!
Love and hugs to all.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
