pigpen, I really really wanted to dance in it but it was outside the doctors and I don't think it would have left the other patients wondering what I was going in for...

toots, I've never seen one before either, but I'd heard of them. I just saw a ring of mushrooms in the grass and got all excited! I took a pic of it, I'll try and upload it later. I get silly about things like that, I once saw the end of a rainbow and had to go and phone my mum to tell her! OH wouldn't let me dig under it for gold though, spoilsport...

Mumto5 How scary. I used to live in Cornwall and know how scary the rips can be. Whereabouts are you staying? Usually the lifeguards are pretty good, maybe yours were hungover that day...

I wish I could knit. My Mum taught me when I was little but I never learnt properly. I tried to knit a blanket square when I was pregnant with DS1 but it ended up about 4 inches wider at the top than it was at the bottom...
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,
    They call me Mummy

Thanks for the advice toots. I have a notebook so I am going to try to do a page per room for now and list in more detail. It will make things easier to delegate too.

The boys are all unpacked, washing up done (They brought today's home with them!) tents are back in the loft and first load of washing is on. :D

pigpen , we have patterns down from the loft to see what we can find for you but I think four cable all over may be a long shot.

What a week! I have had full days in work which is great as I have caught up with an awful lot of things but I haven't had any energy to do any flying. I have also been doing work related bits and bobs until about 10pm each night. Luckily I don't have anything to do tonight, I think it had already been trying OHs patience.

I have just done all the ironing finally before I get any more.

I have packaged amazon sale and friends dvds, printed postage and posted them. Have also washed up and emptied bins, just waiting for DH to take the bag out. Some baby sheets and the moses basket covers are in the washer, bother I forgot the proper cot sheets, grrr, there was space too. Oh well.

DH was meant to go to shop on way home but feels ill so didn't. He apparently doesn't want dinner so it will probably be cereal for me.

Ds2 was nearly a gonner when he got caught in a rip at Crackington Haven. The lifeguards were clueless but fortunately my Nephew saw him and hauled his almost unconscious body back to shore. It was very frightening and he hasn't been back in the surf. I've had nightmares and know I must push it out of my mind.

A cream tea awaits me ......
Thank goodness he is ok, well done that nephew. And now I fancy a cream tea mmmmm HM jam on scones with cream mmmmmmm

Instead of course we will be having a wonderful summery meal of beef casserole, warming food rather than food for the warm weather we should be having. I actually had to put a scarf on today to keep my neck warm otherwise it would have had to be the heating.

Have only nipped into town today to send my ring off for repair now the insurers have finally agreed to do it. Also found DH some more glasses as he only likes a particular style which suit him for work and the old ones had broken.

I now am so far behind as I wanted to get finances sorted and lists and all sorts and now all I have time for is getting dinner ready.

Right time to find me a list now I think - and Oh dear now that I have

pigpen, No patterns found I am sorry to say. I have every other cable and some with panels of 4 cable but none 'all over'.
It helped me to declutter some knitting patterns from the loft. Now they are in the book case and much easier to lay my hands on when I want to look at them.

mumto5 I know how frightening it can be to be caught like that in a rip tide. I guess your son realises how lucky he was. It is about 30 years since it happened to me and I have now great respect for the sea but it has been difficult to teach my children to be safe without frightening them.
DS3 has been asked to go back in the river for this years duck race. Last year he was almost washed away in a swollen river so we are praying for a few days without rain
