We have the same problem with DS2. I usually trawl through Primark/Matalan/George for jeans with adjustable waist. M&S are good for school trousers.BTW our bathroom ceiling has water running down the walls and I think the ceiing may go in soon.:o
:eek::eek: Water tank in loft?Whilst we were waiting we had a look round the centre and saw a CD shop that specialises in 2nd hand CD/DVDs starting from 99p
Would you mind telling me where the shop is? We found a similar one in Paris, but won't get there again anytime soon after our holiday was a bit of a disaster (as well as not at all MSE).
The kitchen is now back to how it was on Saturday morning and even when I start tea, any dishes can go straight into the DW. DSs have gone to the cinema to see Avatar (first visit for DS2) and DH is watching Transformers. Peace and quiet. I'll go and make a start with tea, then clear/join a few dots.0 -

Hi Triker and Jinky.
Triker, when my hens laid jelly eggs with no shell I was told it was because they had a fright!! That was after I bought grit for them thinking they were short on whatever makes the shells hard. We were told not to feed their shells back to them too as it encourages them to peck at their own eggs. Sorry if this info is misleading , just repeating what I have been told:)
I hope you can get water problem sorted soon. Is it the rain? We have had our roof finished this week after having rain pouring into the hall for two months every time it rains.

If you ( or any other fly chums) are going then feel free to call in to see us as we are not far away.
toots that is a very early tea
it's either early to bed and hope you get to sleep before hunger strikes or drink some juice/water to fill your tum and take the hunger pangs away.

Kitchen done!!
:D:D
Don't worry newbies - I stick to the rooms in the order they appeared when I first started flying, and Monday is Kitchen Day!
I've done quite a lot of extra decluttering too, as it seems to multiply on its own during the school year. Two bags of DD's stuff removed and sorted (by DD), two bags of books to Oxfam, and a huge pile of school stuff also removed - this all from the kitchen. I plan to do the hotspot worktop coner by the phone tomorrow, and have bought a large box for all the stationery bits all ready.
MrsChaos - sorry to hear holiday didn't go to plan. I've pm'd you about diet.
hex!!:j:j:hello:Hi!! Did you have a lovely holiday? I'd have advised wine too - we came through customs with the teens' knees up to their chins becasue they each had a crate of beer under their feet! I've mastered the art of slimline packing, so I get to fit in half a dozen bottles of wine.:D I would have loved that jam pan - I need a jam pan, no really, I do! I came back with a salad spinner, as it was cheaper and much nicer than any I've seen here. I'm still hankering after a traditional market basket, which I inexplicably failed to get in a market a couple of years ago, and haven't seen since... I'm so pleased to hear about OH's job offer, massive congratulations.
dusty - :hello:Hi to you too! I haven't done much gardening this week - the weather has been threatening, and today it was wild and stormy, so noisy and with such heavy rain at five am, that I had to get up and close the windows. When are you off to Centerparcs?
valli and froddington - wishing you both lovely trips!
greenbee - DD and I love the cupcakes! I'm booking for DD to do the basic course in September.
Good wishes for all those collecting GCSE results tomorrow!!And also to the teachers who have slaved for two years as well - remember that the students are the ones who are supposed to be responsible for the grades they achieve!!
Love and hugs especially for toots, lady-liberty and diva, and of course, for any other flyladies who are in need!!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
By Jove I think she's done it!!!
Monday all done!!!!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Good evening!
Well I have done most of the list today and some extras! Downstairs looks ok now!
Triker I remember when I was at school we used to use the eggs without shells in home economics as they were cheaper than normal eggs. They used to sell them over in Germany and were called Windeier, which means windy eggs. We were told that they were from young hens that have not been laying long.
Valli I hope you have a great time!
Jinks Welcome back, I remember you from when I first started flying!
Holly I hope your plumber comes soon! Must be a nightmare!
JennyJewell Congratulations! Glad the wedding went well and you had a fab day!
Sorry to anyone I have missed.
Good luck to everyone with kids getting their GCSE results tomorrow!
Hugs to all that need them!
