    hi toots

he phoned an hour beforehand and told me when he was going to get here - and was :D. He serviced 3 and was here just less than an hour in total. All of them had new hoses, and brushes, etc, and one had a new motor. All covered under the price. I know it seems like a lot of money, but I'm a fan now :D. Incidentally, the first machine is £69, but subsequent machines are £40. My mum brought hers over for a service at the same time

Hope you're taking it easy too? :p

Managed to declutter floor and sofa, hoover living room, including under stuff and sofas (found half a mushroom under OH's side :wall:)

Going again to dust my furry electricals and mop floor if DS1 will sit still for long enough...

Hya all, can't believe there are 7 pages up already:)
Thanks for the thread - I'm finding it very useful. In fact the idea of quarter hour challenge is probably a helpful idea as well. I find once I make a start I get onto a roll - but it's the idea of starting that I find a hurdle, there's just so much to do:(
I will aim for level 1 this week and hope it all goes to plan. There is just so much decluttering before I can find the floor or surfaces - anything/everything horizontal and still seems to be a "hot spot" in this hour.
However, got 1 washing load dry and a wash on which is now out on the line. 2nd dishwasher load on. Made Rogan Josh with lo lamb from Saturday. Eaten for lunch by DH, DD2 and me. Am about to put rest in freezer.
Need to make a moussaka with 2 huge aubergines from garden. Part of kitchen is staying fairly tidy but still loads more to do.
Hope everyone is well and has a good flying week. Congratulations Jenny on your wonderful day and all the best for the future.
    Cheers

Right...I'm back in, off on leave for a fortnight so have a chance to catch up.

Apologies for being MIA, thanks to all who asked about me, lots of cahnges at work has meant a much busier working week so I'm more exhausted than usual and don't have much time to 'pace'.

Anyways, pleased to report my chickens are now laying away, 3 eggs today but one had a jelly shell  so I got rid.

Huge personal list as well as Piggers to do so best get a wriggle on and start a HHC in the bombsite aka the kitchen dum, dum duuuuuum.:D

Send for help if I'm not back soonish.....HHC off I go.

Running to catch up with you, Triker. I've spent way too long on the approved food website only to decide that I was going to order lots of stuffI don't really need. :o

Right, floors mopped, everywhere dusted (with DS1's "help" bless him), hoover dropped on foot *&$^£ and clothes rescued from rain earlier hung on airer in conservatory (in the only 2 square feet that are clear of toys :o ) Just have the bins to do and fill the charity bag when DS2 wakes up :D
Have also S&S'd kitchen today, although now needs doing again, and made a start on dinner by cooking the rice for a bottom-of-the-fridge turkey egg fried rice.

    Foot bloody hurts though...

Triker I think I read somewhere that you should feed the egg shells back to the chickens for calcium to get strong shells. Jelly shell does not sound pleasant - although probably more pleasant for the chicken who laid it!

  • plonks down wearily - its taken 45 minutes but DS has tried on all his trousers, shorts, shirts, jackets, t-shirts, sweaters and one or two odd bits like suits, waistcoats - we now have an enormous pile of too small/to go and only a few things that fit.

Most urgent is we only have 2 pairs of trousers left..eek  Shopping later this week but no idea where as he's very thin and to get the length, things then fall down or are just so enormous around his bottom once the waist is gathered in.

Now going to have a large coffee before I go fold the dispose of pile - and must email a girlfriend or two to see if anything is of use to their boys. And could do a couple of emails on my to do list whilst I'm drinking it. Sounds like a plan...
