I thought that the braking system was one of the most important safety issues on a car, Vauxhall clearly don't seem to car too much about them.
  • I wonder how many non dual controlled Corsa D (59 or 10 plate) are taken in to sit a driving test with.
Once you add in the ones that have not been recalled already, wow, there may be as many as...... oh I hate to think.
And what will happen? You'll get your test rearranged free of charge.
    The barstewards I WANT COMPENSATED.
Then theres the actual issue. How manys dead? How many kids? How many cars affected?
How many Vauxhalls sell every week that are NOT 59 plate and 10 plate Corsas with handbrake problems.
    Come on, keep it real.

Read inbetween the lines. Unattended handbrake fail could even kill. I'd call that 'unsafe'. If you're in the car, not a big deal...

You're in the car, how is it unattended?

Jesus, there's some real straw clutching in this thread.

And of course, your regularly serviced car has never needed a handbrake adjustment has it? It has? Why is that I wonder? Oh yeah, because it was below efficiency and barely capable of holding the car on a gradient.

There are quite a few vehicles that the DSA will not allow you to take a driving test in, some convertibles I know are "banned" due to the shocking visability.

Heel and toe - it's a useful technique to master anyway.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

So a car with a handbrake that can fail is safe then?
  • Why do some people pull the handbrake on without pushing in the button?

    They like the clicky noise...
