Annoying, but handy to know for the future... I guess it's like the very thick, shiny plastic/paper stuff for on baking trays etc?

Yes thats it, when you use iron on vilene you can use the sheet to press it onto fabric and it does not stick to the iron, I am making a double wedding ring wall hanging whish uses iron on vilene to 'stick' the fabric to the backing, but you need to press the piece to get the edges 'sharp' it would normally stick to the ironing board. I have just got the piece of oven lining out and its exactly the same, cost me £2.99 for a large sheet, which means I have spent £4 more than I needed to....knashes teeth........

We have made it to Saint-Paul-les-Dax, which is a pretty small quiet town in the South West Corner of France, we have just driven through it and doubt if we will see much more as we are off first thing in the morning. We got a deal from Campanile, by booking early and no able to change saved 20€ per night. Will try their restaurant later, as the last thing we want to do is to go into the car again:o. Thank you for the good wishes for the journey, so far has been very uneventful, and the Pyrenees were magnificent, even if we have seen them before. The route we took for anyone interested, was to Valencia, then inland past Teruel, skirted around Zaragoza, headed towards Huesca, and then on to Jaca and through the Somport Tunnel. The motorway stops just after Huesca, and from then on were on single carriageway roads, but the scenery made up for it all. The car temp read 37C when we got here around 5.30pm. Tomorrow we head up to Rouen. Will give you a wave Moiliere.

Just had a quick scan read, and sorry to hear you are not great Molly, bet you didn't expect to see someone just there before you, never mind, I couldn't check back as I switched straight off.

To those with WM & Hob problems, hope you get sorted. Please keep Masterchef results quiet as I have set Sky to record them when I get home, via the web, it is useful to me. Don't work too hard on your 11 hour shift Taplady.

DH not tired, so as there is a park opposite the hotel going to go for a short walk to stretch our legs. Take care all - DG

Hope DD is feeling better by now, camelot1001.

I'm feeling a bit better but glad to have another quiet day. Just making chips for tea and then I'll cuddle up with a cat and a movie :)

Afternoon all, or is it evening now? Anyway, hope your days have all gone as well as could be. Looking forward to tonight, I've got kiddies food (fish fingers, oven chips and marrowfat peas) with chocolate for afters, and wine, with X Factor. Yay!

Well this morning I went through to the bigger Tesco in the next town to pick up my order (the one I got with a doubled Clubcard voucher) and did my shop while I was there, also got a few other things in the town so now I can organise my recipe collection properly into a folder and it'll be all nice. But the order came in a big box! Wasn't expecting that, I had thought it would just be put in a couple of carrier bags or something. So I had to struggle back with my heavy shopping bags and this stupid giant cardboard box, I'd thought in the shop it would not be quite so bad or else I would have asked if I could open it and put it into bags instead.

Victory was mine in the end though, I had been thinking of getting one of those clear plastic storage boxes to put my toiletries in in the bottom of my wardrobe, so I could easily see what was there instead of everything sculling about all over the place in a carrier bag. Stuff buying a box, they're in there all neatly sat in the Tesco cardboard box now.
