  • Saveapenny,

I have done 2 caribbean cruises, pre kids(!), which we absolutely loved. Not been lucky enough to stay except for Dom Rep (south). We docked in St George Grenada, and did a taxi tour then hit the beach, we both really liked it there. Having done 2 cruises we have been to some islands twice, which is great.

Lucky you, sounds like you're well travelled over there, fingers crossed for your MIL.

Can you give me abit more info
where would you like to fly from?
    what is your budget?
have you got anywhere particular that you would like to go to?

stansted/luton would be great. as for budget we were hoping for £2k max on an all inclusive but we could be expecting a little too much. and as for where preferably within 3 hour max flight time as disabled and find it hard being cooped up in seat longer than that, for that reason we picked spain. nothing too 18-30ish!! but not in a secluded spot no ones heard off..... hope thats bit more info

    thanks for replying

Homealone ...search back I did some for you...If they are no good just say and I will carry on looking
    FOUND IT SAVE YOU SEARCHING

Homealone...Becuase of the ages of the your 2 it will probably class as 4 adult I have come across this one Hera Village Hotel in Elounda £1,238.43 for all of you AI 4*for 2 weeks
Or Mistral Hotel AGIOS NIKOLAOS 3* AI £1,221.65
Both are a good journey from the airport so car hire would probably be the cheapest way to go if the flight times where good.
Found flights from all major airports between 900-1000 for all of you with XL using the DIVERS code

Just noticed i forgot links again

auntywalker youre not far wrong to stay clear of any cheap deals to dom rep i went on one and i recommend if you go to dom rep only go to the expensive side (were honeymooners/weddings go) i went to one ocean place in sosua and i will say no more because id be here all night lots happened including obvious rats by the pool, etc and a man died by the pool and was left under a sheet in the baking hot temperatures for hours on end etc etc do not go to that hotel loads more that is only a snippet! i heard many people say they love it but they didnt go cheap its best to save up and pay more!

got excited when i saw the £1238.43, then realised that was without flights.....i know i am probably looking for the impossible being that we are classed as 4 adults. cheapest i can find so far is about £649 each with flights, so you are still beating me!! i guess doing holidays and flights seperate is the cheapeat way to go???

    Far cheaper 9/10 times
That was only the first look to see what sort of thing you like, I can deffinatly say Elounda is nice so is Ag Nik but its about 1-1 1/2 from the airport in a taxi it can work out cheaper to hire a car for 2 weeks than have the transfer (sometimes)
I will work on Spain tomorrorw.
Have a look at costa de la luz area see what you think, from what you have said it sounds about right
