PS: Neighbour wasn't flown to the airport you state, she was 'delivered' to Reus...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200

            Reus, you say?
Well, she should have checked better. Of the two airports you can use to go to Barcelona, she did choose the one in the bottom of the world! You'd go to Reus to spend a holiday in Salou, for example. But to go to Barcelona?
What the heck made her choose that one?'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0

probably because they advertise it as barcelona.
much like hahn which is MILES from frankfurt0

She DID have choice. They advertise Girona airport as Barcelona as well.
I agree it is disgusting though. Neither are Barcelona or really near Barcelona, full stop. It's probably one of their marketing techniques to cover the fact that they use other airports than the main ones. It does not help people to plan their routes at all, it is totally misleading. Disgraceful. Hideous.
You see, I do have something negative to say about ryanair.'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0

No - she could only get a flight to Reus and needed to get to Barcelona as her mum was their and was dying. She had no choice.April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200

Then she shouldn't have left things to fate and should have checked where she was actually going. Better still, in an emergency always go for the sure one. She should have used a company that flew direct to Barcelona.
Ryanair advertise Reus-Barcelona and Girona-Barcelona, which is in itself despicable, but they never say they are in Barcelona. They even give you details of what you have to do after landing to go to the place you want.
I am sorry for the hassle she had to go through. Such a tiring journey (and I am not talking of the plane).'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0

She knew exactly where she was going. I've already said that. Just because she flew there and was narked about there advertising does not mean that she didn't know exactly what she was getting... She was just warning people who might not...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200

Oh. I see. Sorry, I wasn't getting it.
Then let's just agree, for the benefit of others, that Reus is not a good option to go to Barcelona. If you cannot opt for Girona, forget it. Much better to use another company even if it's more expensive.'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0

            DrFluffy,
Just to get this right in my head
Your friend wanted to go to Barcelona. So she deliberately, because shes not stupid and knew full well what she was doing and where she was going, booked flights to REUS knowing full well this was not Barcelona.
So shock horror:eek: she was "Dumped at some random airport called---- REUS" by ryanair.
 How awfull 0 0
