I can remember the uncovered outside sandpit at infants' school ... you can imagine the rest.
Mind you, we also had a stream running through the playground, a wood with huge clumps of nettles, and a caged squirrel in the classroom.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

Oh right, you haven't heard of a litter tray!! Cost about £1.99 and then you train your cat to !!!!!! in it - well all 'responsible' cat owners do anyway.
My Mum has a problem with cats in her garden. She loves doing the gardening, and the cats wreck it for her. Just spent the last week putting all nice sharp nails all around her fences. Then I'll put ant vandal paint on! Might not solve it altogether. Cat lovers my !!!!!!!Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

We've had cats all our lives ~ well DH has since he met me. Anyoo, some cats like trays, some don't, some will happily use both inside and out. Most cats like to find a nice secluded spot, soft soil or sand, so they can be 'clean' (for a cat) and bury it. If it's leaving it's droppings visibly on top of grass, I'd suggest it's either ill or elderly. If you expect owners to clean up after them, how would you feel about them climbing over your fence to do so?
FIL as a cat ~h e didn't want one, but he feeds the foxes and this one began saring, about a year later it moved in. FIL was concerned about toileting, never having had a cat in his 81 yrs, so he bought one. The cat has used it for the first time last week, because it had to stay in while it's stices heal following treatment for skin cancer; he's had half his ears removed. Despite recovering from surgery, he still asks to go out and is rather depressed.
OP, sorry about your bad experience, some people just shouldn't have a dog.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

My grandfather used to have the best answer. A cork gun. He'd sit there waiting and the cats after a while would think twice about entering his garden.
As for owners climbing over the fence, I'd rather just scoop it up and put it through their letter box. They'd soon train the dumb animal.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
6 inch nail in each fence post and a line of tight fish line all around the top - cats cant get a grip on fence so none in the garden....
Next door had the nerve to ask me to remove the 'wire' as it stopped the cat getting in my garden....... urmmm thats the point!!!0
