Dog poo

This really makes me cross, I am a responsible dog owner and always clear up after my two dogs. Where we walk our dogs there are lots of dog poo bins yet the amount of dog poo in the grass and along the paths is unforgiveable. Why do people have to be so ignorant and not clear up after their dog? That poor little girl!0

Dog poo contains many many germs, dangerous to humans.
I often see dog owners/walkers allowing the dog to do it's work and walk away, minus picking the 'poo' up and binning it.
Although many Councils state an enforcement charge for not cleaning up after your dog, I am yet to personally see this being enforced by any means whatsoever.
Maybe they should start a 3 warnings system, where the owner is given up to and not limited in certain circumstances a warning regards the non cleaning and binning of poo by their dog.
They are not fined for the first offence, by ones up to and lending to number 3, the final warning are.
After they have reached there final third warning, the RSPCA has the power to remove the dog from their care, as a good dog owner would not leave there dog's mess behind.
This way, the owner/walker is given a fair chance to stop there actions/not be fined the first time but if they continue, they will lose their dog.0 -
The trouble is you would have to have dog wardens patrolling everywhere and at all hours to catch the irresponsible dog owners which probably would not be financially viable. I do agree with your thinking though!0

I have always thought that local papers should have a shame page for dog owners that leave their dogs poo lying on pavements and parks. Then you could just take a snap and send it off0

my ex mother law, a tiny (but fierce when riled!) woman in her late 70's at the time, caught someone allowing their large dog to sh*t in the entrance to her path
she politely asked the dog's owner if they were going to pick the mess up, the woman laughed & said 'you must be f'ing joking, pick it up yourself if you want it moving'
she did pick it up but hurled it straight at the back of the departing dog owner's head, SPLAT! right in her hair
neither the dog nor the owner have ever been seen on that road again0 -

up until recently i lived in the center of Bristol, where if a dog pooed, it stayed on the floor, apart from the very few responsible dog owners who's pockets were always stuffed with bags.
I've moved to a nice new area, my home is on the main walk way to the local field, and there are lots of dogs with their owners walking past, never seen any poo.
different class of people, where i am now, people do care about things0 -
This was on the News this evening,

personally I would have rubbed the dog owners nose in it!

I pick up after my dogs and I can personally guarantee they will never poo in your gardens or bury their faeces in a child's sandpit.0 -
True, however in this case it was clearly from a DOG, I have no doubt cats poo, but generally the cat owners are not their to witness it. Maybe dog owners should invest in a Dog Litter Tray, or maybe cats n dogs should wear nappies.
I have to say in our local park, or grass verges, 99% of excrement either seen or trodden in is from a dog, either that or its a very LARGE cat, like a leopard or a lion, but I dont see many people taking these type of animals for walkies in the park.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I got home from work one day last week and there were three heaps of horse excrement left in the road right outside my house. I wasn't in the best of health at the time and the stench from said heaps almost made me vomit.
The thing is we live in a wholly residential street which is a loop so it doesn't go anywhere. I can't understand
a) why anyone felt the need to bring a horse into the street in the first place and
b) why the disgusting creature sat on the back of the horse believed it was acceptable to leave this excrement in the middle of a street in a residential area where families with young children live. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us
Baby we were born to walk0
