Bulk buying bread flour?

I have just done my sums, using the Dove site, and it still works out cheaper for me to use my local farm shop for my wholemeal (£5 for 5kg) and Mr T for my white flour by £3.55, plus I will get clubcard points from Mr T.
My farm shop flour is just beautiful, its called Tasty Cob and well worth paying the extra...supermarket wholemeal doesn't come close. Its a shame the mill doesn't sell it directly, I did email them once.0 -
Many thanks everyone for your help.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0

Tesco are doing 3kg of Allinson bread flour for £1.79 which looked a good deal
:T
That is what I am using at the moment, and together with the sachets of instant yeast, my bread seems to have improved.
Economic bread making, with the added advantage that it tastes better than any shop bought (well this side of the channel anyway;)).
I personally prefer working with 3kg bags, because I like the thought of using them quickly, and not leaving bags unsealed for any time.0 -
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

Did anyone notice the price of brown flour at Tesco has risen 40p  in the past few weeks (its been a fortnight since I last bought it at 89p) and now its 1.29p for 1.5kg.
I've looked on the links above but none seem to be cheaper than Tesco even with their price rise, is it because most of them are organic or am I missing the options for basic flour?
Did anyone find out if Costco or Macro do bulk sacks of flour and how much. If I go to an asian supermarket, what flour am I looking for as I doubt it will be labelled 'bread flour''
thanks0 -

Morrisons and Asda do bread flour cheaper than Tescos just now. Last week it was 60p (M) and 50p (A). Wrights are also cheaper than Tesco just now and if you buy enough it's free delivery. If you're really lucky, you might get the pop up offering a 25% off code for filling in a survey."Who’s that tripping over my bridge?" roared the Troll.

Anyone who doesn't mind out of date food, big brands for less, has some brilliant baking offers on at the moment.
I've just done the survey on Wrights, and won't be ordering. It doesn't say that it can't be transferred & I didn't have to enter my details so hopefully it can be used by someone else, if anyone would like to try the 25% off code please pm me0 -

I love the bead this flour makes and the price is good too.
I'm awaiting a delivery from th big brands website, I've ordered the granary bread mix.0 -

Does anyone know what the cheapest Strong White Bread Flour is at the moment, I normally get Tesco's but they're doing that con offer at the moment. There's a Morrison's, Aldi and Lidl where I am, so might go and check those out later.
on the hunt for..
*Cheap flour
it's usually just over 60p, but you can often get it on offer for less, it was 50p last week
tbh, I'd happily pay more for it, but don't tell Mr Lidl0
