The book is £10 in WHSmith stores, but with a £5 off voucher (can be found on the Discount Codes and Vouchers board), it is just £5:j0

Have thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Reallly sparked my interest in baking again and inspired me to try some new things. Very very tempted by the book but already live under a mountain of baking books so will try to resist. Maybe until I can pursuade someone to get it me for Xmas anyway!
Oh and Jonathon was completely the wrong person to go last week. It should have been Jas. She was poor in the last round ad not particularly good before that either. Jonathan came from a family of bakers for goodness sake!Proud to be OS :j0 -

Anyone watch tonight? I was surprised at how many puddings went wrong.0

I watched it.Yes,a lot went wrong,pudding-wise.Not that I would have done better, but these people are supposed to be the 'crème de la crème'!
I'm glad David was voted off.IMO it should have been him the week before, not Jonathan.
Can't wait for next week's episode!0 -

The suet puddings wrapped in a cloth took me back to childhood!
I was also surprised at how many went wrong this week, surely they'd have practised many, many times?Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
I have made a site for the The Great British Bake Off, as the BBC didn't seem to bother to make a good one!
thegreatbritishbakeoff dot com
There's contestant profiles, judge and host profiles, episode guides, links and a bit more on there.
Getting all of the show's recipes up at the moment. If anyone has any links I'd really appreciate them.
Cheers!0 -
