Happy Hump Day ztan

I hope your cold gets better quickly. I still reckon that a couple of hot toddy's before bed help a cold loads just as they tend to knock you out!Maybe I should ditch the spare room- office/jewellery workshop idea and just leave it ready to turn it into a nursery! ha!
We decorated our spare room into a study only six months ago, we may have to put a cot in there next year but there is no way its getting redecorated again!
Arn't we mean? Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I hope you understand, but I'd prefer to keep my super hero identity and "private" life seperate from on here, so I haven't accepted your add.

Okay, final update for a while guys:
I'm starting my new job on Monday :j and will definitely be at least 20 times busier and stressed than I am now, so my appearences will dwindle.
Yesterday, got home to the usual post stuck between the door and the matt- and spotted one addressed to "The Home Owner/Occupier- Plot 34" on yellow paper... a Persimmon letter.
The letter was from the site manager. This guys surname tickled me... it's Coward. Which sums him up completely. Rather than come and see us, call us etc, he writes a letter... and it's not even addressed to us directly, which I found extremely insulting
Anyway letter says they will be putting up the scaffolding on 12th November, in order to start taking the render off again on Monday 15th November (my birthday _party_) This is expected to take aprox 2 weeks, weather dependent and during this time they will be removing our sky dish, and will reinstall it when finished. (No Sky TV, no Ghost Whisperer, no Nigella...
)
Okay so, great they are finally actually doing something about the render :T It's been 6 weeks since they finished putting it back on last time, and we've not heard a peep during those 6 weeks.
Thing is, the fact this letter was not addressed to us personally, and also did not even try and apologise for the fact that our house was meant to be finished in August... has got me really...... annoyed...
We were planning on writing a formal letter of complaint once they'd finished up, but this has spurred me on and I have now put together a 3 page letter detailing the issues we've had, and what I expect to be done about it. :rotfl:
As I currently work in complaints... I am familar with how NOT to do it, and how to get the best, so fingers crossed this does the trick.
So, my OH and I tonight will go through this letter, and post it off to their registered head office, regional office, and the "customer care manager"... attached to our "1 month inspection form" detailing all the things we expect them to come and put right.
I am anticipating a big old fob off, but have kept my best ammo back for such an eventuality... including photos of the state of the render, and the state of our garden at present.
So, we shall see
Am off to see a car tonight, which is a cheap but reliable one through a friend of a friend who is a mechanic and then going on my baking mission. I intend to go out with a flourish tomorrow, making sure everyone who doesn't care about me normally will all of a sudden realise I can bake, and then miss me
I also have to go for a run, eat dinner and have a shower in this time. Wish me luck :AMFW 2010- £112,500 + 20% Equity Loan = £150,000 35 years

Good luck for the new job

Long time no speak people! First of all Christmas Wishes, I hope everyone is in the festive spirit and is not suffering too badly with the snow.
Our render is finished! It was finished about a week ago, but that's the only thing that is. Our garage is still trashed, our gardens are mud pits... we've been chasing the team on site, and have sent our complaint letter in. Waiting for some massive apology and some compensation. Hopefully will be a nice surprise for the New Year.
We are currently snowed in. This is the most snow my partner or I have ever seen in our lives, and it has caused all sorts of fuss. My OH had an ice+snow+curb accident and has seriously damaged his car today... which given that his MOT and Tax is up for renewal now is really the last thing we need right now.
The new job is going extremely well, but I honestly cannot wait for the Christmas break now!
I will hopefully get back on regularly again soon and catch up with you all.
The new year will see the commencement of of our savings and more MSE ways. I also plan to actually sell some jewellery too!
