My OH's just told me he needs to work more overtime, as it's patriarchal time in January and he needs to impress.
I have no idea what he's on about?!?! Anyone?
Sounds like he has invited the in laws to stay to me! Good luck

PammyJ thanks for joining my group.
I hope you understand, but I'd prefer to keep my super hero identity and "private" life seperate from on here, so I haven't accepted your add.
vl2588- that was one of the possibilities that crept into my mind... it wouldn't be the end of the world if they did move in.. they're amazing!MFW 2010- £112,500 + 20% Equity Loan = £150,000 35 years

Pay rise time sounds a lot more fun than patriarchal time.0

Definitely Caroline! He's on a good hourly rate already, and got a little bump when he completed his probation period... but January he stands to get an extra 75p-£1 an hour... which is great news for him! He works really hard, and he's good at what he does... so I hope they recognise that.
I've just read an article on yahoo- 10 reasons it might be time to quit your job. Sounds like a perfect description of where I work! But ha, only until Friday!
Did I mention I have a new job
I have a horrible cold this morning, and am feeling really under the weather... and whilst logic suggested I rest up so I'm not poorly next week (plus it's my last week here so who cares..) I decided to come in to work to sit and do nothing all day anyway. Lemsip has not helped, head is pounding and I'm either freezing or sweating.
Great

Mornign ztan,
Congratulations on the new job! It's taken me an age to catch up with everything but, so far, all the diary entries I've gotten round to seem positive. I can fully empathise on the cold front - I was suffering (heroically, I may add!) but feeling all the better for having gotten past it now!

Thanks Iris, Billy

Lemsips and early nights and I'll be okay *sniffs bravely*
With each day I'm feeling more positive about our ability to conquer the mortgage and ditch as much of the mortgage as possible... so that when we're finally able to start our own family, we can move into a bigger, better place and not be paying a fortune for it.

Well you've dozens of people cheering you on (more the mortgage free than trying for a baby part - that would just be weird!) and now wishing you well. I do sometimes fancy having a couple of kids but Moyra is dead against it. Being around 1,000 teenagers most days has kicked any broodiness she might have ever had (and I don't think there was much there to begin with) into touch good and proper!

That's the joy of MFW... we're all in it together!
I can understand that Billy! I would be of a different mindset if I was around children of any age all the time. It must be that time of year, and of life though because EVERYONE I know seems to be having, or have just had a child. I still think apart from about 5 I'm one of the only girls who has not had a child since leaving school... 5 years ago!
Maybe I should ditch the spare room- office/jewellery workshop idea and just leave it ready to turn it into a nursery! ha!
Oh, btw.. Happy Hump Day everyone! The descent to the weekend starts here!MFW 2010- £112,500 + 20% Equity Loan = £150,000 35 years
